Excuse me ?????
(Also beyond the elephant in the room of how the flightless thing has been outdated for millenia by now, they mention the movement being good, of all things, when they and every “animal” in the prologue feel so weightless and the Quetzalcoatlus LITERALLY LANDS AND STAYS ON IT’S HIND LEGS FOR A WHILE ????)
I thought the name Henderson was familiar.
So basically their paleontological source of information for that article is not only just one guy, but it’s specifically The One guy who made that very unpopular flightless theory in the first place, which was subsequently torn appart by several other pterosaur experts, none of which were consulted by the Royal Tyrrell Museum for this article.
All it took to find out this theory is bs and that their source is biased was looking up the Quetzalcoatlus page on goddamn Wikipedia, which they apparently couldn’t even be assed to do themselves for the sake of, you know, not spreading misinformation.
Episode 3 of Prehistoric Planet was very good, but DANG do they not like baby animals in this show. That Velociraptor hunt may have been one of the coolest sequences I’ve seen in a long time.
Favorite scene from “freshwater” in Prehistoric Planet
Though science marches on, let us not forget the inspiring visions of the creative minds that came before us.
“No Hard Feelings”, 2018
Been working on this for almost 2 months now and I can finally show it off with the reveal of @saurian-game‘s new T. rex design! I’ve loved all the Saurian rex designs, and I’d like to think they don’t take this whole redesign thing personally.
Major props to @grimchild for the Herculean effort he put into this newest rex reconstruction as well as for giving me some help while still putting this piece together.
Please check out the official blogpost from earlier today on all the reasons and work that went into this big, beautiful, purple boi here:

Tiny sketch dump. I really like how the red panda came out.
