I’ve moved quite firmly into “don’t want to know, really truly WON’T be looking more” wrt the “real” identity of this new deity, chiefly because I’m aware of how much having myths and etc. to refer to can lead a person to question the validity of their experiences, or have stupid arguments with a god, even when you know that dealing with a god directly often … doesn’t match up neatly with recorded myths. Or much at all; I can’t say that the experience of dealing with Loki is a real easy fit with what I’ve seen in the Eddas. And also knowing how spirits interact to some degree based on what you already know/think you know about them, and I suspect I’m better off using the “filters” that this dude provided me, rather than whatever myths, etc., are out there because otherwise, he’d have told me otherwise himself.
This was perhapsinfluenced in some small way by doing yet-another shitty web search on some things, looking at a site that was obviously garbage yet hit far too many notes, giggling nervously and saying “what the fuck what the fuck,” going to a better source (wikipedia; don’t judge me), reading a page or two (neither of which, surprising no one, backed up the shitty website!), and doing the equivalent of slamming the book shut and saying “Yeah, okay, no, don’t want to know.”

MENTOS IN HIS MOUTH MENTOS IN HIS MOUTH!!!!!!!!
“Do it,” Roi Singe said, his words barely understandable as he spoke around a mouthful of mentos. He’d poured two entire packs in, somehow, and he only stopped there because Pegasus took the other packs.
And speaking of Pegasus- he was grinning wildly as Chat Noir handed him the bottle of soda, uncapping it with frightening speed. This was either gonna be really good, or really bad.
“Is everyone ready?” he asked, looking at the other heroes.
Almost everyone was enthusiastic, save for Queen Bee, who stood a good distance away from the rest. (She didn’t want Roi Singe’s mouth soda to get on her when it exploded, or so she said.)
Ladybug gave a thumbs up from behind her compact, which was set to record, and Pegasus readied the liter.
Roi Singe, for his part, was the most excited of the bunch. It was all he could do to keep himself from laughing (and eating the mentos) as Pegasus crouched down beside him.
The moment it began to pour, though, Roi Singe knew he made a terrible, glorious mistake.
The soda reacted immediately with the mentos and began fizzing uncontrollably, until a giant spout of it erupted from Roi Singe’s mouth, spraying at Pegasus as it rained back down on Roi Singe.
It hurt so bad but instead of trying to spit the mentos out or stop it, Roi Singe started laughing and shifted his body enough so that before the volcano of fizz stopped, he was able to spray it just far enough to get on Carapace and Chat Noir.
When it finally stopped, Roi Singe was in near-tears, clutching at his stomach and trying to catch his breath.
“Oh my god. Oh my god,” he wheezed out. “Oh my god let’s do it again.” He looked up at Pegasus with a gleam in his eye. “But this time don’t stop pouring until the liter’s gone.”
A pause, and then- two more packs of mentos were thrust into his hands.
