Illustrations created by @kristenlarsonkeil and @petermlawrence for a recently published article on Midbrain Cavernomas, written by Dr. @michael_t_lawton as part of his new 7 Cavernomas series. It depicts a periaqueductal cavernous malformation. Patients with these lesions present with Nothnagel syndrome comprising ipsilateral oculomotor nerve palsy and ipsilateral cerebellar ataxia.
