Out today: the first article in Dr. Michael Lawton’s 7 Cavernomas, “Recurrent brainstem cavernous malformations following primary resection: blind spots,” published in the Journal of Neurosurgery. The first image, created by me and Mark Schornak, depicts the anatomy of the blind spot: the surgical corridor comprises 1) the craniotomy; 2) a subarachnoid, cisternal, or ventricular segment; 3) a parenchymal segment; and 4) an intralesional segment. The article is currently free access. “Early Relationship Romance- How Much is Too Much Romance? When you start dating someone new, there is always that short period of time when you don’t actually know what they like as far as being romanced, but you feel socially obligated to do things like: bring flowers, buy chocolates and wine, or plan elaborate dates that end up costing you both a small fortune…”

I’ve been out of creative gas for a long while and starting new projects is difficult. Redrawing old pictures, however, is a sort of low-demand, low-stress way of doing something instead of nothing, if you don’t spend too much time on it.

Sadly, I don’t remember when the bottom one’s from. “A few years back” is my best guess.

A maybe workable fuck-ton of bison anatomy references.

Someone I knew a while back once commented on bison looking clumsy. Well, I disagree. Think of ‘em like dogs. Just as flexible and playful and dorky. They move similarly to bovines/bulls. And, like brown bears, people underestimate their agility. They’re made to get the fuck away from predators (not as successfully as they’d like, but they have evolved fairly well, nonetheless).
