They don’t tell you this much, but life will be gross sometimes and that’s okay.
It’s okay when you discover that you aren’t immune to it all, because no one else is either.
At some point you will likely have to deal with some kind of infestation like mice or bedbugs or termites or roaches or rats or ants or ladybugs or wasps. At some point you will have smelly, gross medical problems or you will have to help someone else who does. At some point there will probably be mold in your fridge and you will have to clean it up. You may encounter carpet that smells and can’t quite be cleaned the whole way. Or damp walls that grow weird fungus or black mold, and you might have to move apartments or rebuild part of your house to fix it. If you have pets or children, or if you find old people or disabled people close to you at some point in your life, or even just become old or disabled yourself, you will have to deal with cleaning up poop and urine from clothes and beds and floors and anything else. There will be vomit in your life, and clogged drains, and pet hair, and infections. You may have to learn how to get blood stains out of a sofa or a sweater or a floor. You may have to deal with dead animals. You may have to buy some rubber gloves.
These things can be disheartening. But the important thing is to remember that this is basic evidence of being alive. Alive people clean up. Alive people try again. Alive people see a mess and make it better. Alive people make order out of chaos. Alive people engage in ultimately doomed but still necessary battle against entropy. You’re alive. That’s enough. You’ve got this and you’ll be okay. I believe in you.

As long as you’ve told them about your pets in advance, then, yeah. It’s still kinda rude, but, some people do have a knee-jerk reaction to things that terrify them.

He’s back. Not with any extravagant Kafkaesque drama. No lusty populists, yobs with bodacious slogans. Just a swindle - plain and simple. The perfidious politician (pardon the redundancy) is caught selling a bogus Covid-19 product, then baldfaced lying about it…. But, that’s just one of his covid scams.
Homeland Security raided Med Pharm warehouses on Guam and Saipan, searching for a product imported by R & R Distributors, and sold through MedPharm stores on Guam, Saipan, and beyond.
Dennis is one of the owners of R & R Distributors.
Rodriguez sold a lanyard filled with a pesticide dangerous to human health, and promoted it as a personal barrier against the virus that causes covid-19.
After the raid by Homeland Security on MedPharm, local media called the phone number listed by R & R distributors. Dennis Rodriguez picked up the phone.
Rodriguez claimed that he had nothing to do with the distributor….despite the fact that R & R Distr. shares the same contact number with Todu Guam…a phone Rodriguez carries around in his pocket.
Rene Ramos, the owner of MedPharm, is a longtime political supporter of the shady, former senator. Rodriguez’s former senatorial office was in a building owned by Ramos. That’s where the offices of R & R Distributors are located. Current senator Joe San Agustin still has his office in the same building, too.
MedPharm is a leading supplier, wholesaler, and distributor of healthcare products including medical and dental, radiological, laboratory equipment and supplies. The company is a supplier to Guam Memorial Hospital, as well.
However, despite such extensive experience in the industry, Ramos claims to not have known that the product he sold for his partner Rodriguez, was making false claims.
A trickster practically from birth and a fully-formed ratfucker - a term for those who specialize in political dirty tricks - by the time he entered the political big leagues, defrauding gullible consumers is not the only scheme the political cockroach has up his sleeve.
As senator, Rodriguez was responsible for legalizing electronic gambling and the proliferation of games rooms. He used funding GMH as the cover for that scam. The hospital never earned what he said it would, but his political backers, ex-felon Gil Shinohara and his wife, and partners made out like bandits.
Even before that, Rodriguez cut his teeth on graft and corruption while working as general manager for his family’s Tumon business - Sonia Rykiel. It was under his management that the Feds sued for FICA taxes withheld from employee pyachecks, but not deposited by Rodriguez into the proper account. It was also during this time that the family did not pay their taxes.
Scams are not new to Rodriguez. And with cockroach-like ability to stick around, he has found yet another scheme to enrich himself - and his secret partners - at taxpayer expense.
The new scam involves test kits that may, or may not, be as fraudulent as Rodriguez’s “personal space barrier” scam. And it’s being pushed hard by another ratfucker, speaker Tina Muña Barnes.
Rodriguez was on Barnes’ payroll before he ran for senator. He was one of those kinds of employees that doesn’t actually show up to earn more than $40,000 a year in salary and benefits.
Despite being firmly shot down earlier by the Governor and her team of physician advisors, Tina has doubled down on her efforts to have GovGuam scale up coronavirus testing to several hundred a day -or more.
Lou, and her people, told Tina that the test kits she is pushing, on behalf of Dennis Rodriguez Jr., are not FDA-approved. Technically, though, as guamblog said before Adelup’s weak “test surge” even began, the test kits that government are using are not FDA-approved either.
Undeterred, and determined to get a slice of the covid millions for her family and friends, by forcing Rodriguez and Todu Guam on the governor, Tina throws out buzzy catchphrases, “flattening the curve”, but has little understanding of how and why expanded testing is considered critical.
She does know, however, that there are millions of dollars sitting in Lou’s bank for covid response’ and she and Dennis have not given up the fight to try to break off a big chunk of that for their pockets.
The political cockroaches and ratfuckers see the public health emergency as their chance to fatten their already fat pockets, while the rest of us are still trying to figure out how to pay rent, feed our kids and plan for tomorrow.
But it’s not only the ratfuckers doing the fucking apparently, as Adelup cannibals go into a frenzy over yet another erupting scandal involving Lou’s communication director - Janella Carrera.
Caught in flagrante delicto with one of Lou’s INside cockroaches putting in his share of ‘fucking’ - Janella’s 15 minutes of internet porn fame might explain why the INside cockroach was staying on the 19th Floor…despite not being made to quarantine upon his return to pandemic stricken Manila earlier.
Meanwhile, with Lou distracted yet again, by another bumbling scandal from her people, now comes word from GovGuam INsiders tell guamblog that Rodriguez and his secret pals, are also eyeballing snatching the medical offisland contract - worth millions of dollars.
It has long been said, that a crisis brings out the true character of a person. In the current crisis situation we face on Guam, we can see clearly who is who, and what is what….and in conclusion, it means one thing: We are all fucked!
