If I had a nickel for every time an Oscar nominee/winner actress played the mom of a character that is discovering his bisexuality in a story based on a popular novel, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. Right?
Okay I dont usually post things like this but I feel really strongly about this.
I have already seen people upset over the fact that the rwrb cast are ‘straight’
We have been over this before with heart stopper and young royals and every other peice of queer media.
Stop. Speculating. Peoples. Sexualitys.
That includes straight. Especially if your gonna attack them for it. We dont know their personal lives, we dont know their sexualitys. And most importantly they dont owe us that information. They could be queer, they could not be. And we will not know, nor do we have any right to know unless they tell us.
What matters is whether or not they portray the charachters authentically and until we’ve atleast seen a trailer we cant know.

As a bi latina, I’m incredibly happy that I’m going to see a bi latino character played by a latino actor in a rom com. That’s is amazing!!
y’all are making it seem like henry and alex were both teenagers or something when they’re both in their 20s and newsflash people look the same in their early 20s up until their late 20s even 30s
