i am tireddddd and haven’t finished this yet, but i wanted to share my draft for Day 7!! no spoilers but when it’s done you’ll see why it fits “Failed Mission” as well as Day 3’s “Crime”…

The blond was late. Of course he was. The entire world had been made to keep Sasori waiting, and the blond was just a part of it. He sighed and checked his watch one more time. Maybe he should just leave. One more date, one more wasted evening. He’d never find someone worth all this time and effort.
Knocking back his Negroni, he waved the waiter over and was just about to ask for his bill when the quaint little door chime jangled and in sauntered Deidara Stone, the hapless yet somehow irresistibly sexy owner of what was most likely the world’s tiniest mall-basement katsudon shop. Sasori took a deep breath, reminding himself to be angry at the blond’s tardiness, not smitten by how the dim lighting brought out his prominent cheekbones.
Sasori knows this is different from the way Deidara braces him into the ground, his body trapped against the cave’s rough flooring. Stone digs into the small of his back, up skin he can almost feel in a body, thanks to lack of chakra, that’s halfway between where he was and where he’s supposed to be. Neither human nor puppet, he’s swept under again by the initial sense of overstimulation that always comes with this jutsu. Deidara’s fingers dug into his hips are doused in frustration, hard enough to leave bruises should Sasori be human enough.

That doesn’t make sense, that’s usually the Zombie Combo’s jo–Wait. Sasori catches on right away. “You don’t think we can take the jinchuuriki back in one piece,” he scoffs in sheer disbelief.
5. scifi…. during a peace mission, trade off prince deidara accidentally blows up his entire planet, killing off his species. with no other way to communicate as the only translator was killed off as well, the team seeks sasori, an android with the largest language bank in the universe who now is the only means of communication with the slobbery alien to attain the rich culture and genetic make-up his species has to offer

Glittering in Deidara’s periphery, the sea. White light sparked on waves like a fistful of diamonds. Overhead, a cloudless, pale blue sky filled with noisy white birds… Sweat tracked down his sides beneath his mesh top, soaking into his waistband. The sun was hot on his bare face. The lightest breeze brushed his cheek, and that was what finally forced him to sigh.
“Everywhere in this town, the air is thick. By the natural springs? It’s near unbearable, wicking up their arms and sitting soaking wet in his lungs. Breathing is a habit he’s almost forgotten and having to gasp for air like this leaves him dizzy. And they’re not even in the baths yet. He doesn’t think he’s missed this, but Deidara looks over his shoulder and when smiles, Sasori’s heart staccatos, telling him things are alright.”
