Just a few days after LIFE Victoria published this video on YouTube, a couple of people tweetedthenews—apparently delivered to subscribers via email—that Dame Sarah’s LIFE Victoria recital, scheduled for early October, would be postponed until sometime in 2021. Although the deferral is no great surprise in the COVID era, I hope the music fans of Barcelona will give Dame Sarah an extra-warm welcome whenever she is finally able to appear there for the recital series; her recital with Julius Drake was originally announced for November 27, 2019, but postponed due to Dame Sarah’s treatment for breast cancer. In the meantime, this video is a really nice postcard from Dame Sarah to the LIFE Victoria audience.
