catching up on a lot of works in progress i’ve had sitting on my computer for months. wanted to get this guy outta’ the way first because it’s been super close to being finished for a while. he’s a coral wyrm, a sea serpent with a body that looks similar to rock and coral and often have anemones and vegetation attached to them. the older a coral wyrm becomes the more it will be covered in a variety of sea life and resembles a swimming coral reef. when they die their bodies provide much needed nutrients to the variety of life that calls it’s coral-covered body home, and help create new reefs.
I’m a licensed scuba diver now. Thinking of training to be a dive master- I’ve been in the water ever since I could paddle and snorkeled all my life, at the start of my scuba adventures I drew this gal randomly and kept drawing her as I was diving and she quickly evolved into a sea critter. So this is Butrercup, my swimmy girl.
