Vakarian didn’t move a muscle or say a word to the two humans standing across the elevator from him and Shepard with delighted grins plastered on their soft little faces. He simply crossed his arms tighter, narrowed his gaze, and suppressed the grumble that stuck in his chest.

Finally calling this ME1 illustration. My headcanon has always been that my Shepard had a crush on Garrus in ME1 that she was completely oblivious to until after both Liara and Kaiden made it clear they were into her. She did some serious self reflection after realizing two of her crew members had assumed she was flirting with them when she was just trying to be nice and get to know them. Eventually this lead her to the realization that she Had been trying to flirit— just not with either of them.
