It’s been repeatedly demonstrated the police are unable to provide immediate assistance during the commission of a crime unless onsite when it transpires. We’re on our own to defend ourselves, our families and our property when miscreants initiate their criminality.
That said, elitist politicians want free American citizens to give up the only tools we have against those who would do us harm. They want free men to stand by while their properties are destroyed, their spouses raped, their children sold into the slavery of prostitution and drug addiction & homes looted.
I choose not to. As a free man, I will not bow to the criminals who want to take from me that which I’ve worked so long and hard to acquire. It took a lot of time and effort to build my family, my residence and my friendships. I will not stand idly by and allow it all to be taken from me without an extremely violent altercation.
I will defend my self, my family, my friends, my property and yes, even strangers, from the oppression of criminals, because THAT’S what responsible, free men do. I don’t care what others choose. That’s between themselves and their families, friends and those in their communities.
But me? Don’t come on my property with an ill intention. Don’t try to take what’s mine. Don’t threaten me or my family. Be respectful and I will reciprocate. Trying to force me to do that which I don’t wish to will only result in conflict.

The police have no legal responsibility to protect you. It’s not even physically possible. No one is coming to save you. You and you alone are your first line of defense (situational awareness) and your last (multiple rounds center mass in an assailant).
The Second Amendment is an integral component in our natural right of self-defense against tyrannical politicians and bureaucrats trampling on our rights and robbers and rapists intent on same.
A medical condition report filed with The State stated Mackay was a threat to others without her knowledge. Worse it was filed by Dr. Rachel Mitchell, who Mackay has no recollection of meeting or talking to. Her drivers license was revoked and her ability to get to school and work was upended. Appealing a suspension can come with hundreds of dollars in costs and untold time.
Now, imagine this is in America. You’ve had a bad week; maybe you lost a big sale, or your job, or your spouse, or had a car wreck, or some other big expense, and while processing that you read this article that says the stock market’s fall has wiped out $3 trillion in retirement savings, on top of all the other stresses of living in Joe Biden’s failing America. But then the doc files a report with the local sheriff that you’re a threat without any evidence to back it up, or a neighbor who knows you’re struggling files a report, or your employer, or a colleague, or the guy at Dairy Queen you yelled at for dropping a slushy in your lap.
Suddenly the police show up on your doorstep with a warrant based on this bullshit report and confiscate all your guns. You can get them back, the officer carrying them out says; just file this report with the court. You’ll get a hearing at some point and if you can prove you’re innocent - that’s now how it works here, btw - and you’re not a threat you can maybe sometime, get your guns back. Maybe.
That’s how red flag laws work. They circumvent due process, presume your guilt, and punish you without so much as you getting to tell your side of the story.
For the republicans who recently signed onto this bipartisan gun control legislation I have three words.

Liberals are salivating at the idea of getting this kind of power. Republicans, once though of as our allies in the preservation of the Constitution, are aligning themselves with the dems and supporting red flag laws, including the party leadership.
