I never intended to start watching this show; it just happened. I’d prep myself, waiting every friday night, like an hour before, for supernatural to air and I eventually got curious about Nikita: what it was about, etc, so I decided to watch. It was already mid-way in season two and everything about the show was A-mazing. All of niki’s missions were just a spectacle–something i wish i could be a part of, chasing and putting down bad guys, as cliche as it sounds, but it was all just a fantasy anyway, a fantasy i’ll no longer have because the show’s over.

And as much as i’m pissed that it ended, i have bittersweet feelings to the way that it did end. I’m sad, of course, that it got cancelled and happy and somewhat contented that Niki finally got to Amanda, happy that they didn’t kill her and that it somehow all worked out for all of them, i guess.

I’m sure as hell pissed that they killed Ryan and Sean. ‘specially Ryan. i still can’t accept that he died, as much as it was good drama for the show, i completely hated it and the way he went too. it was really really sad, especially when amanda stepped to the window to look on him there was just soooo much sadness and regret on her face- you can tell she didn’t want him to die :’(

I’m going to miss Miss Alexandra Udinov (must admit though that I didn’t like at the ending of the pen-ultimate episode when Niki said she’d end everything with alex because she started with her because she really started with Birkhoff–who’s name I love hearing Amanda say, cracks me up every time -“Seeymour” haha)

I’m going to miss Amanda soo much. I shouldn’t love a villain the way I love her- and it probably has a lot to do with her past and her disposition, how emotional she gets when gets emotional, and of course how sophisticated and composed she always is: it’s rare that she ever breaks or gets emotional and i completely adore that about her. (In my book, Amanda did no wrong, I would willfully do that which she asks. There would be no brain-programming required. haha)

I must admit, season one was the best: Percy was ruthless and the day they decided to kill him was the day everything pretty much got a bit soppy but still really good. I don’t think i’m going to miss a tv show more.

I love how empowering the show was for its representation of women, even the fricking president was a woman.

I used to look forward to friday nights because I had Nikita and Supernatural. Now i don’t care. These cancellations are just getting me real sick of tv shows. I’ve just become so uninterested. I don’t want to get attached to them anymore; I guess to protect myself from getting hurt when they do get cancelled.
