Occupation forces attack the funeral of Shireen Abu Aqleh, the journalist they murdered:
Heavily armed forces are beating up Palestinians carrying Shireen Abu Akleh’s coffin, they’re charging at them with cavalry horses and assaulting them with batons (theyre also kicking those they knock to the ground) and threw sound bombs and stun grenades inside the French Hospital of Jerusalem. Here is the moment of attack:
They’re besieged the hospital and demand Shireen’s coffin to be hidden inside a hearse instead of her being honored with visible a martyrs funeral being carried over the shoulder’s of Palestinians
Occupation yesterday raided the home of Shireen’s family and took down Palestinian flags raised there. They detained Shireen’s brother the day after murdering his sister and ordered “no Palestinian flags. No chants. No walking procession”
Occupation forces have rushed the funeral and continued assaulting Shireen’s family, friends and mourners. They ripped away Palestinian flags (including off the hearse) and are attempting to suppress chants in honor of the martyred journalist
Israeli occupation forces have arrested several mourners for raising the Palestinian flag in occupied East Jerusalem. Abu Akleh’s niece, Lina Abu Akleh, has said Israeli forces are “still trying to silence” her aunt and the mourners gathered for the funeral.
Shireen was a Palestinian Christian and the funeral has moved her body first towards the Church for the service are moving her towards the Christian cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
The Israeli occupation army asked people “if they are Christian or Muslim”. And Muslim weren’t allowed in to participate in the funeral match. Occupation forces have also prevented thousands of Palestinians from entering the cemetery.
Despite agression and attempts of supression from the occupation Palestinians continue the funeral and resist by still raising Palestinian flags and chanting for Shireen Abu Aqala and for Palestine. Arriving in the dozens of thousands

For anyone who doesn’t know who Givara Budeiri is, she is an Al Jazeera correspondent who was arrested by Israel just last year for covering the Sheikh Jarrah protests.
While wearing a press vest, she was violently assaulted, and her cameraman’s equipment destroyed, before the occupation forces detained her. She, like many journalists who are bravely reporting on Israel’s crimes, is intimately familiar with Israel’s treatment of the press and the threat of violence and death that she and her colleagues must live with everyday.
The sad fact is that the US government didn’t care when white American Rachel Corrie was murdered by an Israeli bulldozer when protesting the demolition of a Palestinian home, our government is not going to do anything about the murder of a Palestinian American
The famous Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was working for Al Jazeera and exposing various Israeli crimes for the past 25 years has been shot in the head today by an Israeli sniper while wearing a press vest and a helmet (videos online literally shows her headless body being dragged moments after being shot and her press vest is clear as the day) while she was cowering on the ground and repeatedly screaming “press!” during her coverage of the Israeli military raiding a refugee camp in the Palestinian city of Jenin where at least one unarmed Palestinian civilian was killed by them (source:X)
Israel regularly kills, kidnap, torture and brutalize journalists from all nationalities that document their crimes in occupied Palestine and per the norm, American/western media such as the New York Times are reporting on this literal war crime as “clashes,” even though some of them had their own journalists killed and their offices bombed in the past by Israel.

was it a clash when the sniper’s bullet hit her in the face? was it a clash when they shot at anyone trying to get to her as she lay in a pool of her own blood? was it a clash today, when they forced a young boy to take off his clothes in public and a young woman to take off her hijab while they filmed it? when they bombed a civilian’s home in jenin today? when soldiers shot grenades at civilians trying to hold a funeral? when they ripped a kuffiyeh off shireen abu aqla’s dead body?
how long will the world call genocide and ethnic cleansing a clash?
the israeli murderer who shot shireen claims during the investigation that he didn’t “see her” and he “didn’t know” he shot her. just let that sink in. he’s a sniper, he was in his car 190 meter away from shireen and armed with a sniper rifle with a scope, but he didnt see her? these constant and ridiculous lies about how they murdered her are only making the situation worse. hope they all choke and perish.

just fyi: israel announcing they won’t be investigating the murder of shireen abu aqla because they “don’t believe any criminal activity occurred” means that they’ve already investigated and the results are ones they don’t want shared
if a palestinian was the one who shot her (like they falsely claimed - disproven by multiple israeliandinternational human rights orgs) and they had evidence to prove it, they’d be screaming it from the hill tops…but it’s eerily silent
and what they’ve said about not believing any criminal activity on their part is probably true - they already believe they’re in the right while committing war crimes, beating and killing civilians on the daily, bombing homes, assassinating press, upholding apartheid, imprisoning and prosecuting children in military courts, and ethnically cleansing their way across stolen land

The level of evil it is to shoot a Palestinian journalist in the head, falsely claim you didn’t do it, and then send the military to attack her funeral, the mourners, and forcefully rip the Palestinian flag off her coffin. It’s monstrous.
