Silly Symphony - The Ugly Duckling directed by Jack Cutting, 1939

The Ugly Duckling model sheet label as RS-8 concentrates on the various poses of the Mother Swan. Notes include: Taper base of neck from body to avoid snake-like appearance, Carry shadow separations on swans as indicated, and Keep feet rather large. Comparative profiles of the adult and baby swan are drawn on the bottom left corner to indicate the size differences.

The sheet lines up the responsibility of the staff: Jack Cutting as the director, George Stallings responsible for story, Hamilton S. “Ham” Luske manages the animators and Dave Hilberman in charge of the layout.
