I forgot to mention that as a little holiday gift, I’ll be uploading 31 defaults this month. This default, retextured by the *fabulous* @mrs-mquve-cc, is number 4! I was going to wait until tomorrow to post it, but I love this hair so much and want you all to enjoy it too! Credits are in the file. Uggghhhh I wrote this whole post and the browser hiccupped and now I have to write it again. I forgot to save while writing. Dammit. So anyway, this is that blouse chop of @deedee-sims’4t2 EP 11 DressPuffySleeve that I first showed off in January. (Pauses to save the post this time.) I tried drawing a bottom hem, but remembered that I can’t draw. That and some bone weight issues (and my ADHD distractibility) are what took so long. I never did add a hem (which it doesn’t really need anyway), but I did get the bone weights sorted out. No more weird, pointy bits when they sit. The textures are some of the same Standardheld/LadyFu conversions I used for the dresses in this post.
They’re TF-EF, with fat morphs for all and preg morph for adults. Everyday only, since I didn’t think they were quite dressy enough for formal. (Save the post, Kate.) When I said I did some of the same floral textures, it’s 22 of the 45 I did for the dresses. There’s a button I had to edit out, so I was more choosy. The file names match the TS4 swatch numbers, in case someone out there has to have one I skipped and wants to do it themself, it should be easy to figure out what’s missing. I’ll probably do at least some of the textures from the country set for the blouses too, eventually. Gotta have that buffalo plaid! (Kate…the Save button, now.)

This post was a bit later than I’d intended. I have a bad cold that I really hope isn’t covid. I tested negative twice, and now I’m out of tests. I seem to be getting steadily better though, not the back and forth symptoms like covid has. And my voice is back to normal. I had a day or two where I sounded like I’d been smoking longer than I’ve been alive.
And somehow, this is the last day of May already!? Pride is just around the corner! I have a bunch of stuff in the works. I might bump my first Pride month post back a day or two…or maybe I’ll post it tomorrow, like I was gonna. It’s a simple little thing, but I’m quite pleased with it. Ok, why am I still writing this post? I’ve forgotten how to stop! Halp!!

For something relatively simple, I reworked this outfit like five times. It was supposed to be a simple shoeswap of 4t2 Basegame Hoodie and JeansCuffedby@megamassikalove and some texture conversions from @sim-sauruss(originalhere) and @rosysimmer(here). I added the slip-ons I’ve put on everything lately, because I’m fixated. Something wasn’t quite what I wanted though. I wound up resizing the hoodie a bit, to be slightly oversized, like the TS4 version. Still not quite right. I switched around the jeans and shoes (a couple of times), wound up making a few new recolors of both, and finally liked what I had.
They’re for girls and boys, and set as Everyday. There are 23 colorblock hoodie textures by @sim-saurus and 3 patterned ones by @rosysimmer. (I couldn’t find a TOU for RosySimmer, and they seem to be retired, so I hope this is ok.) I paired them with some of the TS4 colors and some of my own recolors of the rolled jeans and slip-on shoes. Some of the similar-ish hoodies have the same jean and shoe colors, for coordinating twins.
They’re top-only, available for girls and boys, and flagged as Everyday and Outerwear. I rounded out CandySims’ 32 recolors to an even 40 with four extra strawberry and four extra batik(?) options.
I found even more recolors of this coat (plus CandySims’ accessory versions make it very easy to recolor), and an AM conversion (for TS4), so this probably won’t be the last you see of it here.
I’ll be honest right up front…these aren’t perfect, but they’re cute and I like them, so here they are. I’ve tweaked and tinkered with the textures as much as I can bear, so slight wavy texture goofs around the shoulders are what they are. I hope you like them anyway.
I liked the idea of these overalls, but the colors EA chose…not s’much. And I wanted them to have the slip-ons I keep adding to everything. (I’m not done yet!) So this is (deep breath) my recolor of my no rip editof@platinumaspiration’s4t2 BG overalls, with a shoeswap to my conversion of the TS4 BG slip-ons. Phew. Please swat me with a newspaper next time I decide to try to recolor something where the parts are all mapped together like this. It was a beast.

As much as I want more recolors of these…I’m either gonna make a PSD of the layers separated and fixed up (which…why the hell didn’t I?) or I’m just not gonna. Time will tell. I love that EAxis switched to mapping all the little fiddly bits as their own parts on the texture, but it makes me resent the times they didn’t do that. In other words, the tee, straps, bib, metal findings, tags, etc are all exactly as you see them, so I split them apart, recolored, hated the result, redrew a bunch of it by hand, smoothed, grimaced….it was a whole thing. Grr. But they’re done and I can stop thinking about them now. Grr again for good measure. Grr.
Know how long this has taken me to get ‘just so’? This is actually the first TS4 mesh I started converting, @powluna’sNora dress. It’s those frilly little sleeves. They caused me so many problems. But I snagged similar sleeves from a shirt by DeeDee and then tweaked the weights a bit. (They’re not *exactly* the same angle as the original, but they’re close and I like them this way.) The shoes are 4t2 kids’ ballet slippers converted and sized down by me. In real life, there’s no way you could keep shoes like that on a toddler, but they look so cute!
I converted all 16 of PowLuna’s original colors, plus 15 patterned recolors by Bloomful. (I hope that’s ok. I couldn’t find a TOU for Bloomful, and they seem to have retired?) They’re PF and Everyday. The shoe colors vary, coordinated with the dresses. Some are my own recolors. There’s the expected dress clipping when they sit, which you can see on Nora in the preview (complete coincidence and random naming), and the sleeves clip at the most extreme arm angles. You probably won’t notice it unless you look for it. (You also probably didn’t notice that one of the knees is backwards. I’ve fixed it now. Oops!)
