My skin has been so confused during these times, and it is tiring, but I will survive. One thing I had to do this year for my skin was to restore its moisture barrier. I got random breakouts, which caused me to use everything to get rid of those pesky pimples. That caused fatigue and dryness to my skin, but @firstaidbeauty Ultra Repair Cream came through for me! It helps hydrate dry, parched skin and is safe for sensitive skin, which I love. So thankful for all the great products I came across this year.

For some reason, I am continuing to get followers on here despite not having posted in almost a year . But, if I am being totally honest, I can’t really see myself using this platform again. At least not in the near fututre.

I know a lot of you will be able to relate to this, but I hate how shit Tumblr has become in recent years.

——————————-

So, if you want to keep up with me and my blog posts, then feel free to check out my Instagram. Warning: It’s very different from the stuff I post to this account. There, I post about skincare, money-saving tips and tricks, bargains and discounts, free products and samples.

(I do have a ‘BunnyClaws’ insta as well if you were wondering, but that’s something I prefer to keep private.)

It’s been a long time coming, I’ve back-burnered this new platform idea for a while. Thank you to the ones who whether through tough love or kind words have recently told me to just let it be - I needed that extra push more than you know … today I chose to tell anxiety and personal traumas to take a seat - I won’t let it become me, not today!
Thank you to @squarespace for making a easy to use platform that made this project that much easier and more fun. #squarespace

Last summer was so cool, I experienced and was apart of so many amazing opportunities - THIS ONE … this one was one for the books! I have always thought how cool it would be to have your face up on billboards in your home city ( as a matter of fact it was on my vision board in the THINK BIG section) but I could have never imagined that opportunity presenting itself to me in the way that it did. I started my IG/Tumblr (Blog) many, many years ago hoping to share my hair journey, interact with curly girls like myself and when I shaved my head it was a sort of personal rebellion against what was the expectation of curly girls at the time. I’ve spoken openly about my concern for the curly typing narrative and while its initial purpose was to serve as a marker for finding products turned into a “growth/length” battle dividing us into categories. I say that to say this when I shaved my head it was my intention to shake the table in my own life (some people were shocked, others disappointed), but it was the most FREEING choice I’ve made and I truly feel that stepping out of my comfort zone was what began the roll out of opportunities I’m so humbled to have been offered. LAST SUMMER I did a shoot w/ @virginmobilecan not knowing where these promotions would end up but excited and grateful to have the opportunity anyways… to find myself months later on billboards, bus stops, in streetcars, on the sides of buildings and all over social media ads. I had family and friends all over the city sending me images like the one you see above. All because I stepped out of my comfort zone, on a whim it’s beautiful where life will take you when you decide ✨

KylieSkin Lip Oil Review

My very first Kylieskin product! Yay!

The KylieSkin Lip Oil looks like a gloss, applies like a gloss and, unlike many other Lip Oils and related lip products, doesn’t feel sticky at all. Personally, I think that’s a big plus, since I really don’t like big, glossy, sticky lips. The wind, blowing your hair against your sticky lips when going outside is so annoying!

This Lip Oil has a subtle and pleasant but slightly chemical coconut scent and comes in a small, beautifully designed glass tube. The applicator is soft, fluffy and big. On the downside, it’s actually a bit too big, taking up almost the entire inside space of the tube, not exactly giving you value for your money that way. Plus, it isn’t really convenient to get the applicator out of the tube. The applicator does feel pleasant and soft on the lips while applying the oil though. The large size of the applicator does make it easy to apply and spread the oil, but also comes with quite a bit of excess product, while you don’t really need that much.

I usually use this Lip Oil in the evening, before going to bed, to give the oil enough time to fully absorb and to optimally care for my lips, giving me the ability to start my day with soft, cared and hydrated lips in the morning, but since the oil also gives a nice shine, it sure can be used like a lip gloss during the daytime hours too. After applying this Lip Oil, my lips feel soft, hydrated and intensely nourished, without feeling sticky. I’m rocking a subtle shine and dry lips and flaky skin are a thing of the past. I personally didn’t experience the promised plumping effect, but I already have fairly full lips and I’m not exactly looking for that Kardashian pout right now!

I am satisfied with the KylieSkin Lip Oil, which is vegan and contains Vitamin E in addition to coconut oil, but I do believe that there are balms and oils that do the same job while being cheaper. That, in combination with the enormous applicator and the small amount of product inside the very small tube, gains this lip oil 4 stars for now. It’s definitely not bad, but not the very best either.

Question:

What’s your favorite lip product?

Biotherm Blue Therapy Uplift Day Review

Hi guys,

As a Pafumado tester, I was sent a sample of the Biotherm Blue Therapy Uplift Day and I can’t wait to share my results with you!

The Blue Therapy Uplift Day Cream, containing ingredients like Red Algae and Collagen Peptide, promises to make fine lines and wrinkles less visible, while lifting and firming the skin.

This rose colored cream applies easily and smooth, thanks to the pleasant gel like texture and absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy feeling.

During application, the cream feels not greasy at all and after application, my skin feels really soft, firm and hydrated. Any fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes area are looking slightly less visible and I’m rocking this healthy looking glow all day.

My skin wasn’t feeling irritated and I didn’t get any outbreaks after using it.

For a really optimal result you have to use this cream for longer, but even during my short testing period, I was pleasantly surprised by the result.

The cream smells pleasant and not too powdery. It is quite a subtle fragrance which is not too present or too heavy. Also, the scent fades away quite fast.

From what I’ve seen from the packaging online, the cream typically comes in a gorgeous and luxurious looking red colored glass jar but I obviously received the sample version, which is a small white tube with a red cap. But the full size packaging is looking really nice and will definitely earn it’s spot in your bathroom or on top of your vanity table.

I highly recommend the Biotherm Blue Therapy Uplift Day Cream!

A huge thanks to Biotherm and Parfumado! ❤️

Synergie Skin Beauty Boost Giftset Introduction

Hi guys,

Aproximately a week ago. I made some changes in my skincare routine. I started using the Beauty Boost Giftset by Synergie Skin

I’m right in the middle of my testing fase right now, but I wanted to take the time to tell you some more about the brand and the products, before sharing my full reviews.

Synergie Skin was created in Australia, way back in the year 2005 and gained international fame rather quickly. Right now, it’s distributed in many countries, including here in The Netherlands. Synergie Skin is highly recommended and often used by Beauticians and the cosmetic medical staff in Beauty Salons, Spas and Skin Clinics all over the world. The Synergie Skin skincare line has over 50 products for every skintype and every skin issue and they also offer other products and lines, like a mineral make up line.

The Beauty Boost Giftset contains 3 products: the BioCleanse, the Vitamin B Serum and the LumiBalance. All 3 together, they form a full skincare routine for beautiful, glowy and healthy looking skin. The BioCleanse is a milky and mild, PH balanced Cleanser that doesn’t contain any irritation or drying ingredients. It’s perfect for sensitive or dry skin. The Vitamin B Serum contains 13% Niacinamide, for youthful looking skin and the LumiBalance is a facial oil containing 8 lipids to nourish the skin and protect the skin against free radicals. The LumiBalance doesn’t contain any filling oils or added scents.

So far, I’m really happy with the results but I will keep testing the Beauty Boost set for another week and will have my full reviews up in a week, so stay tuned for more!

A huge thanks to Synergie Skin Netherlands for giving me this opportunity! ❤

Question:

Have you ever used Synergie Skin before?

Hi skincare friends~ how’re you? I’ve been busy, but I’m doing alright. Today, we’re doing a review

Hi skincare friends~ how’re you? I’ve been busy, but I’m doing alright

Today, we’re doing a review of Dr.Ceuracle’s AC Solution Pink Gel. This is a gel cleanser for sensitive skin meant to help with issues like acne, redness, excess sebum, and large/congested pores.

Like usual, I’ll ~quickly~ go over what it does, my experience, and recommendations. I know you guys mostly want to know if it works and if it is worth the price, so I’ll try my best to give you an idea if this is right for you or not.

All you ladies and guys struggling with acne, sebum, and pores, this is for you.

So,the review.

(Granted, maybe this should be considered a first impressions, because I haven’t been using it for as long as I usually like to for reviews, but all in all, I was pleasantly surprised!)

I used this as a nighttime cleanser and decided to focus it only on the parts of my face where I was having a breakout or the spots where I struggle with congested & enlarged pores.

I have endlessly dry skin, so I always get a little scared when I see a product that says “sebum controlling” because it’s usually a product geared toward oily skin types and/or suggests a matte finish, but this cleanser was actually really nice for my skin!

This cleanser left my face refreshed, deep cleansed, and bright/glowy looking. It was giving me glass skin vibes but without any sort of residue or anything left on the skin. Like it was my skin but better looking, if that makes sense, lol.

Truth be told, I don’t usually expect much from my cleansers other than cleansing my face, but I genuinely liked the way this made my skin look and feel afterwards. It kind of made me excited to try other new cleansers in the future!

So, yeah, I’d say it definitely delivers on its promises of a deep cleanse without the drying and tightness. It’s hard to avoid some feeling of dryness after cleansing because cleansing and drying with a towel process is inherently drying to the skin.

⭐Here’s a little tip worth keeping rent free in your mind: after cleansing, don’t try or rub your face completely with a towel. Gently pat dry, use a porous cleansing sponge, or just wipe most of the moisture off with your hands. Whatever you do, just leave your skin a bit wet so your face doesn’t get tight/dry and you can start off with an added boost of moisture.⭐

Now, again, I haven’t been using it for thatlong yet, but I did see a slight visual improvement of my pores. When cleansing I actually focused on my nose and cheeks because that’s where I struggle with enlarged pores and nasty blackheads, and I think this started to diminish those blackheads even with the short amount of time I’ve been using it.

With 0.5% Salicylic acid, the cleanser promises gentle exfoliation, which helps with everything from acne to pores to improving skin texture. Salicylic acid is one of my favorite tried and true ingredients to help with blackheads and acne. It’s just always given results for me and it’s an exfoliation/acne treatment option that doesn’t irritated my reactive, sensitive skin. Salicylic acid, you’re a real one.

So: pore care, smoother texture, help with blemishes and excess sebum without being harsh/drying/irritating. I believe the claims based on how my skin has reacted so far. Now, of course, I got to put it out there every time: all our skin is different, so how we react to a product might be different too. I think rather than a product being all good or all bad, it’s just effective for some people and maybe not so much for others.

Really not much to say in the way of negatives about this product, maybe besides the size. This cleanser is pretty tiny, at least in terms of other cleansers I typically see. Maybe an option is to use it like I did and spot cleanse areas with this instead of using as an all-over daily cleanser. I’d personally treat it as more of a spot treatment than your everyday cleanser. Or, alternatively, use this less often, if need be, such as every other night. Totally up to you and your needs!

image

Overall, I’d recommend this for really any skin type, especially my congested and/or oily friends with acne and pore issues. If you’re looking for something affordable to try that deep cleanses without dryness/tightness and helps with ✔️pores/blackheads, ✔️texture, ✔️blemish control, and ✔️redness, I’d say give this a go if you’re on the market.

This gal is on sale for about $11 on Jolse as I’m posting this (originally about $13). I don’t remember the last time I bought a skincare product that was less than $11—was it my pimple patches or my cotton pads? lol, just kidding. But it is pretty affordable, I think.

Full transparency, I did ~receive~ this product from Jolse, but hold on now, don’t go getting’ any wrong ideas. I’m certainly not getting paid/sponsored/told to say thisorthat. Come on now.

And, you know, just for the record, Jolse is pretty awesome. I wouldn’t share this with you if they weren’t. Their prices are always super affordable (often they’re the cheapest compared to other places selling the same items). They routinely hold deals, coupons, and free-to-enter giveaways. Like I’m just putting this out there. Next to Yesstyle, they’re my fav spot to shop skincare.

Well, this is the end of the review. If you got this far, thanks for reading. I know a few of you write comments on these reviews and I do read them all! Thanks for those of you leaving kind words.
