Sky is a little freaked out and is glued to my side with all the weather and now very likely flooding inside the house but he’s being very brave and is comforting the other animals in the house as well when he can!

Rain happening here already! Hurricane Harvey is looking super unpredictable which could be good or bad for us depending on what’s going on. But so far everything is fine! We’ve got family around us and we’ve prepared as much as we can. We’ll probably lose power at some point but I’ll post as much as I can.
Massive flooding is predicted and we’ve got tornadoes going on already and a bunch of rain. It’s predicted to dump up to 3 inches of rain just tonight as it makes landfall in Corpus Christi but Texas has been really amazing at preparing for this and they’ve got shelters and military and rescue crews standing by all over the place, prepared for whatever.
Harvey has the potential to go pretty much anywhere in east Texas and dump tons of rain everywhere so if you’re anywhere in the path of the storm please stay safe, make sure you have water, food if power goes out, and a backpack with things like food, clothes, etc. to last 48-72 hours just in case.

So we’re in the Houston, Texas area and we’re preparing for Hurricane Harvey over here! The flooding is the main concern but we’re in a good area so we are already better off but there is still the potential for flooding. There’s also likely to be some power outages and this storm is already predicted to be hovering over us for the next 5 days dropping rain and such. It’s also very unpredictable and keeps moving erratically so we’ll see what happens.
I’ll keep you guys updated as much as I can but for now just know that we are all safe right now!
As the title says, I’m starting to go through a divorce with my husband… It’s…not looking good for me or Sky. Or the cats.
Luckily my friend I’m living with has said I can live with him for as long as I need free of charge which is great. But my husband is trying to leave me with nothing and no way of getting a job. My DID is so bad that I just can’t get a job. And things are just crazy right now…
Things haven’t been working out in the marriage for a while. My husband has just been very done dealing with me and my alters and my CPTSD and such and basically shut down over the past few months. Neither I nor my alters could stay in the marriage and so we proposed divorce and he basically jumped on it.
Now he’s trying to force me to sign an agreement where I am left with the animals but no way to feed them or care for them or myself. I have no money to hire a lawyer or anything and I feel really cornered, lost, hurt, and frustrated.
I was thinking of asking for some donations from you guys but I don’t know if that’s something you all would be willing to help with. If you are please let me know! I need all the support I can get right now. I can’t go back to my family because they are insanely abusive and it’s not fair for my friend to support me as he doesn’t have hardly any income either.
Anyway, just wanted to let ya’ll know what’s happening. I might be a bit inactive for a while on here but my alters and I are pretty active on our private blog @the-era-system if you’d like to head over there!
