#skybridger
This is a scene from Sunlightby@kitepiper, which I did illustrations for in this year’s SW Big Bang. The scene didn’t go exactlylike this in the actual fic, but it was pretty close. Luke was considerably more tactful and considerate about what he actually said, but the thought was there and I figured it’d be funny to illustrate.
The fic is an AU where Ezra worked for the Inquisitorius for a while when he was younger, but eventually managed to escape. Now many years later with a history as a merc, he’s trying to make up for his past by helping Luke find new students to rebuild the Jedi order. He’s not excited about Luke figuring out his past, but it’s an inevitably that at some point it will come up. Sunlightis a Skybridger fic that is as flirty and cute as it is angsty, so if that’s your thing you would probably have a great time with it!

One day I’m going to figure out how to do Sabine’s armor justice, but apparently it is not this day.

A three panel comic featuring Sabine and Ezra, both of them about ten years older than they were at the end of Star Wars Rebels. They are in the kitchen of Ezra’s parents’ house, which looks like it has been fixed up at some point.
In the first panel Sabine is looking over at Ezra, who looks a little uncomfortable. They are both leaning on the counter.
Sabine: So on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is this going to get?
Ezra: Oh. Uh… probably like… a six? Uh, I mean. It’s not fun. But a lot of it’s not even really your fault. So yeah. I guess. Six?
In the second panel Sabine is holding up a back with two bottles of spotchka in it. Ezra’s hand is on his forehead and he’s looking up at the ceiling with relief.
Sabine: Okay. Because I did bring booze just in case.
Ezra: Kriffing stars! Yes. Please.
In the final panel Sabine is looking at Ezra suspiciously, and Ezra has the distinct look of someone who just got caught in a lie.
Sabine: That doesn’t soundlike a six.

I just found out that Ko-Fi has an album feature in their galleries and you can format the albums like webcomics! TKT looks so good there, and I can sort them into seasons in chronological order and I am so excited for how this all looks! It was getting really unwieldy and hard to read and manage all these comics. The master list really only takes you so far. But this? Gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful. I was so excited, I uploaded all the TKT comics last night all in one go.
(Well, not all of them. They say don’t upload scandalous stuff and I really don’t want them to delete me so I played it pretty safe. They might anyway because you know. Fanart. But I am really hoping they don’t.)

There needs to be a fic where Ezra was around during Rogue one and was a sign to Leia’s ship. So he was captured with Leia on the death star, until luke and Han show up to rescue them. I just want a fic where Ezra is added to the original trilogy.
Added bonus:
Han is jealous of Ezra because he thinks Ezra and leia has a thing for each other, when in reality they don’t. Ezra just has a strong sense of protection and it’s his duty as a jedi to protect, and the fact leia is his friend.
Luke has a thing for Ezra. Like after meeting him and seeing him in action,he has that moment where he’s like “oh no he’s hot”.
Ezra gets to talk about being a jedi to Luke. He can tell some of his stories.
Ezra doesn’t know Luke has a thing for him, and its unclear if Ezra feels the same.
I think the one best thing about skybridger is having vader still be live, and Luke decides to try an introduce his boyfriend to his father. Only to have Vader and Ezra have literal stare down, because these two already met.
Luke of course is confused during all this, Until he finds out.
Modern AU version of the TKT OT3 going to a Pride parade and having a great time.
Ours isn’t until September, so I’m living vicariously.
EDIT:
I originally posted this with Ezra having brown hair and brown eyes. This was intended to account for the switch from GFFA to a Modern AU. But I had a friend point out to me that eye color for People of Color is a more nuanced discussion than my artwork implied. Changing his features from blue to brown was an oversimplification of a more complex issue, and a commentary on a culture I don’t have lived experience in. So I went ahead and switched it back to the blue color from the canon work. (And added some pink and purple highlights because Pride!)
I still have the version with brown hair and brown eyes. If you want a copy of the file, just send me an ask or a DM and I’ll send it to you. But I’m not going to be posting it publicly anywhere, and future versions of Ezra that I draw, even in AU’s, will maintain the blue eyes and blue hair that’s canonical to Rebels. That seems like the best way that I can make sure that I’m not talking over anyone on an issue that isn’t mine to speak on.
