Short Prompt #788

“You’re living in their shadow.” - the supervillain whispered in the hero’s head, watching alongside them as Superhero laughed and talked with a group of reporters. “At this rate, you’ll never be known as anything else, just Superhero loyal little dog.”

Hero grimaced but, for once, did not argue with the voice inside their mind. Instead, they somberly muttered under their breath. “I know…”

Short Prompt #787

“I wish I could go back in time.” - the villain admitted, their gaze staring straight through their nemesis.

Hero quirked a brow. “So you could take back everything you did?”

Villain’s eyes refocused, glaring at the hero. “So I could make sure I never met you.”

Short Prompt #31

CW: captivity, restraints, implied character death.

“And then, I will conquer the world!” - the villain finished their monologue, posing dramatically in front of the captured hero.

Hero sat on their knees, clapping their chained hands, genuinely impressed with the other’s plans and motivations. “That… actually sounds sensible.”

“Thank you!” - Villain glowed. That was the closest thing to a compliment they had gotten from a hero so far. “I pride myself on being more logical than the other villains.”

Hero opened their mouth to give some ‘too bad I’m gonna stop you’ line, but the villain continued talking. “And as such…”

Something pressed against the back of the hero’s head.

“I know I have to get rid of you now before you get a chance to stop me.”

Panic flooded Hero’s thoughts. They wanted to argue but never managed to do so.

Short Prompt #786

“Let me in? Please?” - the vampire asked with a strained smile, intertwining their hands in front of themself in a polite manner.

The human’s face was blank, unimpressed. But their bruising grip on the doorway of their home gave away their fear. “No.”

Vampire dropped their futile act, hissing angrily and showing off their fangs. “Fine! Let’s see how long you can last on your own!”

Short Prompt #785

“…Will you sing me a lullaby?” - the young sidekick asked, wrapping the blankets tighter around themself. “H-Hero sang for me, but uh…”

The villain faltered. “I don’t think you’d like my singing, kid.”

“O-Oh, okay…” - the child whispered, tugging at Villain’s non-existent heartstrings.

The criminal hovered by their bedside unsurely for a moment and eventually sat down with a sigh. “Alright, just this once…”

Sidekick perked up, their sleepy eyes focusing on the villain as their smooth, soothing voice filled the room, lulling the child to sleep within minutes.

Short Prompt #784

“Okay. This is a good place to start.” - the hero decided, nodding their head and turning to the villain. “Go help that cat stuck on the tree.”

Villain stared at them for a solid minute before sighing and climbing up the bark.

Short Prompt #368

“Aww, is this for me?” - the villain asked, pointing to the rose in Civilian’s hand.

The civilian raised their eyebrows, unimpressed. “No.”

And then they shoved the flower into their mouth and took a bite.

Short Prompt #783

“W-Why…? Why did you betray us?” - the hero’s voice was filled with hurt as they looked up at their sidekick.

Sidekick stood beside Villain, something bitter settling in their expression. “You really have to ask?”

Short Prompt #782

“Could you, please, just stand in one place for, at least, five seconds?!” - the villain asked, wildly flinging their weapon around, trying to aim it at the hero, who refused to stand still.

Hero chuckled, speeding behind Villain and pulling their cape over their head, confusing them. “Not unless you calm down first!”

“I AM CALM!”

Short Prompt #781

“What’s this?” - the hero asked curiously, tracing their along the egde of a small box.

The villain smiled fondly at the object. “It’s a music box. It helps me fall asleep.”

Short Prompt #176

CW: drugging.

“Yo, I’m SO high right now.” - the villain slurred, the drug the heroes had injected them with still coursing through their veins and fogging up their brain as they swayed on their feet.

“I-Indeed you are, boss.” - the henchman replied, anxiously eyeing the rooftop edge from which Villain was dangerously close to falling off. “N-Now, could you please come over here? P-Please?

“PPPHUCKyouuuu,I’M the boss ‘round here!” - the criminal yelled back, nearly slipping off the building.

Henchman sighed. Why did they have to love their dumb boss so much?

Short Prompt #800

CW: threats of violence.

“I’m going steal your bones and make soup out of them.” - the villain threatened, growling under their breath.

The hero patted them on the back, laughing. “Sure thing, bestie.”

Short Prompt #799

CW: attempted murder mention.

“Why are you so adamant about helping me?!” - the villain yelled, struggling to understand the hero’s reasoning. “I tried to kill you!”

Short Prompt #485

Warning: gore, implied character death.

“…Are you okay?” - Hero asked unsurely, looking down at the civilian crouching down at the end of the alleyway. They slowly walked closer, noting that Civilian was looming over something on the ground, something that looked suspiciously person-like.

The civilian froze and slowly turned to look at them. There was dark red smeared across their face, clothing, and hands, a bit of it dripping down their chin.

With the close proximity between them, the hero easily identified the smell of blood drifting in the air. And before they could react, Civilian lunged.

Short Prompt #798

“So…, you just kill people by touching them…” - the healer asked, looking up at the villain cornering them.

Villain’s hand was hovering just shy of Healer’s face, their fingers twitching. “Yes, so you’d be wise to cooperate-”

They didn’t get to finish and instead jumped back when the healer suddenly leaned into their touch.

And nothing happened.

Short Prompt #797

“Aww, are you scared?” - the monster asked, noting the human’s raised heart rate. The beast flashed their sharp teeth in a wide grin. “Scared I’ll eat you?”

Human pupils were so wide there was nearly no color visible in their eyes. “Yes, please- I-I mean-”

Short Prompt #796

Are you done yet?” - the monster grumbled, nuzzling into the back of Human’s head as they sat at their desk. “I wanna cuddle.

The human struggled to stay focused on the open document before them. “Just a couple more minutes.”

Monster sighed dramatically, slowly slipping down to the floor and smooshing their massive head into Human’s lap. “You have twenty minutes before I drag you off to bed.

The human gave the monster’s head a few quick scratches. “Thank you, love.”

Short Prompt #134

JUST WHAT DO YOU WANT?” - the hero exclaimed, looking to their nemesis, desperate for an answer as the harsh rain continued to pour down onto them both. “WHAT ARE YOU AFTER, VILLAIN?

The villain laughed hoarsely, exhausted from the fighting but not ready to give up quite yet. “I’ve… only ever wanted one thing…,Hero…”

Taking a deep breath, Villain snarled and charged the other again, screaming like a banshee.

REVENGE!

Short Prompt #795

“Ugh… I can’t sleep…” - the human complained, tossing and turning in their bed. “Those idiots downstairs are being too loud…”

Something stirred under their bed. “Want me to take care of it?

Human smiled and let their arm swing over the edge of the bed, a clawed hand gently catching their own. “Just don’t scare them too badly. It is still my sibling and their friends, after all.”

The monster chuckled, letting go of the human before slinking along the ground like a shadow, heading for the door. “I’ll try my best~.

Short Prompt #794

CW: break-up, emotional struggles.

“What’s the best way to handle a break-up?” - the hero asked through sniffles and hiccups, their face smushed against the bar as they talked with their nemesis.

The villain patted their shoulder comfortingly. “Okay, so first: you’ll want to put this tracker on their car-”
