Prompt #260
Civilian looks down in horror. The body of Hero lies broken against a pile of rubble in the aftermath of a battle against Supervillian.
How will the city survive without their protector and figure of hope?
Clenching their jaw, Civilian gently brings the fallen Hero to a more private, dignified place. It wouldn’t do for the rest of the public to come upon this scene and lose hope.
With Hero properly laid to rest, Civilian looks down at the torn cape cradled in their hands. The city needed a new protector.
Prompt 350
“Darling, I knew you were lying. I’m the most powerful person in the city.“ The villain said matter-of-factly. “No one dates me without trying for a taste of it.”
“Why- why would you….” Their lover stumbled over their words before adding quietly, “Why didn’t you break up with me?
The villain gave a sad smile and glanced down. “I hoped that your love for me trumped your lust for power.”
Prompt 363
“Stay back,” The villain growled with a swipe of their dagger. The prone figure at their feet didn’t stir. “No one touches them.”
Very Good Trope: Civillian is told “ stay in the car” while hero goes to confront villain. Hero gets in over head and all seems disaster. Civillian crashes car into villain.
Me, watching: ohhohoho! But they stayed in the car! Yesss, this is very good!
Half the fun is that they followed the letter of the order while violating the spirit. The other half is watching Chekhov’s Civillian smash through the wall.
chekhov’s civilian, i love it. you can stay.
Inversely…
Hero: Stay in the car, I’ve got this. (Goes fight Villain)
Civilian: (Turns on radio and reclines)
Villain: (Sends Hero flying)
Hero: (lands in car)
Civilian: (drives off with Hero)
Villain: (Chases car)
Civilian: (Shifts to reverse)
Villain: (Gets run over)

Short Prompt #368
“Aww, is this for me?” - the villain asked, pointing to the rose in Civilian’s hand.
The civilian raised their eyebrows, unimpressed. “No.”
And then they shoved the flower into their mouth and took a bite.

Short Prompt #485
Warning: gore, implied character death.
“…Are you okay?” - Hero asked unsurely, looking down at the civilian crouching down at the end of the alleyway. They slowly walked closer, noting that Civilian was looming over something on the ground, something that looked suspiciously person-like.
The civilian froze and slowly turned to look at them. There was dark red smeared across their face, clothing, and hands, a bit of it dripping down their chin.
With the close proximity between them, the hero easily identified the smell of blood drifting in the air. And before they could react, Civilian lunged.
