Okay, so I have this idea for an angst-filled, slow burn-ish, somewhat humorous, friends to enemies to friends (?) to lovers Deancas/Destiel fanfic, but as I’ve stated previously I don’t have the skill to do my idea justice in writing it myself. So, if you’re a fanfic writer or know one out there, I hope at least one person is inspired enough to create a story with this (and tag me or send me the link to it ). Here goes:
Coda to 15x09, based on the vision of the future Sam saw but after Sam’s death, featuring Vampire!Dean and MOC!Castiel
It’s a couple of centuries after Sam’s death. Dean has become a plague on humanity, killing everyone who knew him in his old life, along with their entire bloodlines to feed on. He inevitably runs out of kin to murder, though, and without a “purpose” is no longer able to fight off the loneliness and depression.
He decides he’s ready to end it all, when he remembers that there is still one being left alive who knew him before he was a monster; Castiel. Changing his mind or putting death on hold for later, Dean goes and digs him up. But a happy reunion and a “Hello, Dean” are not what Dean’s greeted with.
I don’t have an exact path in my head but after that I imagine Castiel is pissed off, Dean’s an asshole, and a combined bloodlust fuels/haunts them. They stick together, though Castiel doesn’t know why and Dean won’t say if he even does know, and they come nearly/fully to blows a lot before they find their way back to each other emotionally.
I’ve also strongly imagined Castiel seeing through to Dean’s suicidal tendencies and threatening him with a “you want me to kill you, and I will, but not before you actually want to live”
If this all sounds batshit insane and incohesive conceptually, I’m sorry lol.

I don’t think ya’ll have clocked just how important the fact that Dean prayed to Cas in and of itself is. Let’s forget the fact that he was praying to Cas and just focus on the fact that he was PRAYING!!!!
Do you all realise he hasn’t done that since season 13x01 when he prayed to Chuck to bring Castiel back to life? How broken he was then and how goddamn destroyed he was when praying to Cas now?
We all know that Dean would never have opened himself up to being so vulnerable if it weren’t for Cas teaching him that praying isn’t a sign of weakness- it’s a sign of faith.
Castiel has always been Dean’s faith.
And this is just further proof.

Alright is NO ONE going to talk abt seeing Jack again? Yeah the Destiel and Saileen shit was grand but I’m so excited to see my Boy again !!! It’s almost time!!!
