I love how these show so much of the details everyone put into these costumes! We all basically started from Squirtle + Sukeban/Bosozoku gang fashion and everyone took it from there! There are some similar themes…we all used the same fabric as the base, and my Pfaff Creative 4.5 cranked out a lot of “Squirtle Girl Boss” lettering and shell patches that we all used on the back of our outfit. But everyone chose their own outfit style, and customized it with everything from embroidered puns, hand beading, applique, vinyl transfers, and hand painted patches. It was so much fun to extrapolate on the theme, and I love the detail and variety we ended up with!

SQUIRLE SQUAT
She’s almost done! I am so happy with how the embroidery for this jacket turned out If you’ve missed my stories, the Pfaff Creative 4.5 has been treating me real real good, I am so impressed with it. I’ll probably just keep embroidering things on this jacket until there is no more space left!

Hater blockers for my Squirtle are done these were a little trickier to make than I thought they’d be, and they don’t fit my face SUPER good… But they’ll do! They started out life as a piece of amoky grey cut acrylic. I’ve been getting my acrylic laser cut at Canal Plastic in NYC, they have a really excellent online service where you can submit your art and pick it up later that day usually! It’s totally worth it because cutting this shape out neatly myself would have been HARD. Anyway I heated it up and gave the acrylic a bit of a curve, then added some mirrored window tint film to the back so they’re real shiny. Added black Worba around the edges to be an anchor for the arms (which I cannibalized from a cheapo pair of sunglasses), and made some nosepads from worbla too. Overall I’m pretty happy with how they came out! One step closer to SQUAD

009 (modified): This creature has been cybernetically modified for war. upgraded for massively high attack power to compliment it’s already excellent defensive capability. There is a natural version of this form but it is rarely seen.
Changes: iron like scales covering body, tail and ears similar to previous form, fully artificial shell on front and back, tank like water blaster on back of shell as well as water sacks on fingertips and palm.

008: This creatures is commonly breed for combat. Due to its highly defensive capabilities it has been used in multiple human wars. Unlike it’s charismatic first form, this creature always seems to be stuck in a bad mood, and is always willing to get into a fight. Considering it’s shell is comparable to the to some metals it’s defensive capabilities are much higher then average.
Changes: scale on the forehead has grown into a captain america-esc face mask. armor-like Scales forming on forearms and lower leg to give a slight impression of gloves and boots. Shell is now smooth in the shape of a military helmet
