Did a social-distancing cruise with some VW friends this weekend. Stopped by the graffiti wall in St. Louis, aka Paint Louis.

Buckle in for some VW spam over the next few days… We cancelled the spring show due to covid, so a group of us decided to do a social-distancing cruise instead! It was fun to go for a drive around the city with some pals.

Pan lies on a rocky bed surrounded by vines, grape clusters, and a slithery salamander. Carved from marble in this sculpture, Pan the satyr, a half-human, half-goat creature of mythology is very well known for his bad behavior.

The Wendell O. Pruitt Homes and William Igoe Apartments, known together as Pruitt–Igoe, were joint urban housing projects first occupied in 1954 in the US city of St. Louis, Missouri. Living conditions in Pruitt–Igoe began to decline soon after completion in 1956. By the late 1960s, the complex had become internationally infamous for its poverty, crime, and racialsegregation. All 33 buildings were demolished with explosives in the mid-1970s, and the project has become an icon of failure of urban renewal and of public-policy planning.
