Before i post stills of the finished prints, here is a little behind the scenes of a screenprinted illustration i worked on back in september ♫ It was fun playing around with neon ink and shimmery paper, it makes quite an eye-catchy visual !

Finally got the new Mushrooms are People Too! shirts printed!!
These new blanks from Alternative Apparel are pretty different than the previous tees, but I really like the vintage feel. They’ve got a looser weave, they’re super soft, and the fabric blend almost forces a vintage look to a water-based + discharge print. It really works for this illustration for sure.

Our new Mushrooms Are People Too tees are almost ready!!
Ran a proof & wash test on the Alternative Apparel “Keeper” tees we switched to for 2019.
They are a lighter yellow tone, the fabric is softer with a slightly looser feel—really has that old shirt vintage feel.
Pretty happy how they turned out & should be running the first batch before the end of the week!!

The Sound of Light
Officially licensed David Bowie screen print, available now in a limited edition from Echoprintgallery.
My poster was produced in conjunction with brand new venture, ECHO print gallery, and approved by the David Bowie estate. Limited edition prints are available now from echoprintgallery.com.
Like any other 80s kid, I grew up hearing David Bowie’s music and seeing him regularly on film and television my whole life. As such I feel very grateful to have been able to pay official tribute to the late great legend. Huge thanks to ECHO and the Bowie estate for making this possible.
For my piece I thought I’d celebrate several of his iconic personas and stages of his career, from Ziggy Stardust to Blackstar, via The Thin White Duke and others. The title of the piece is ‘The Sound of Light’. It’s going to be an 18x24” screenprint and as well as the main edition, there are rainbow and gold foil variants (previewed above), plus a pearlescent option exclusive to the subscription series, which gets you all the prints coming this year from ECHO.
