“Stormy Weather” a Stucky fanfic by me. You can read it here (x)
I also made a playlist of all the songs i was listening too while writing and drawing for this which you can listen to here (x)
Below the cut you can see some more info and translations for the text in the images.
1. This Section shows us Steve and Bucky as soldiers, the text is quotes from the fic.
2. New York skyline, with the lyrics of Ethel Waters Stormy Weather, as the song is mentioned in the fic.
3. The train scene, once again we have quotes from the fic itself.
4. Bucky being told by Hydra that Steve gone into the ice, the words here are Buccky’s trigger words, written in cyrillic.
5. The boys are making out, the words in the background are lyrics of Lana Del Rey’s song Summer Bummer. Especially the line “It’s never to late, to be who you wanna be, to say what you wanna say.” were important to me here, as it goes with some of the script of the fic.
6. In the final frame you can see the poem “ЭМАЛИРОВАННОЕ СУДНО” (Enameld bedpan) by Boris Ryzhy. Some of you might know this poem from Molchat Domas song Sudno. It’s a poem he wrote in 1997, written after a failed suicide attempt, the highlighted part translates to “And I’m trying to get up. I want to look his in the eyes. Look in its eyes and burst into tears. And never die.” (In the original it’s her eyes). Boris Ryzhy is one of my favourite modern poets, and he has sadly passed away due to suicide in 2001.

at night prompt: During the day they don’t talk about it. During the day it’s as if neither of them are hurting. During the day it’s all work and banter.
But at night it all changes.
They share a travel mattress. Sam lies on his back as Bucky turns to face away from him. They lie in silence for a long time until Sam is able to slow down his breathing and feign sleep.
It is then that Bucky let’s go. The airy word is below a whisper, but Sam can still hear it.
