Blythe and Eaton needed a more recent picture, so behold!

… I have no idea what this pose is, please go with it. I could not decide what to do throughout the whole thing, someone help me. X’D

This is the concept stuff I did for Bishop and Crab!

Bishop is Blythe’s Second Mate.
Crab is Eaton’s Second Mate.

They’re not very similar, but they’re … reliable …
… yeh. X’D

These are kind of a jumble with notes here and there since they’re more concept stuff for me rather than finished stuff, but I thought you guys might like to see it, too. :]

This is Jin (J-ee-n), Blythe’s First Mate.
And this is Garin (G-ah-r-in), Eaton’s First Mate.

(I .. doubt I used the phonetic system right, but hopefully that helps with pronunciation. X’D X’D Ahh, if not, sorry.)

I’ve been working out colour schemes for the crew while continuing to write Season 2 where I can. It’s been a bit tough this year, since so many things have been happening already, but things are still progressing. ^^ I have some similar stuff for the Second Mates, as well, so I’ll post ‘em later, too. I’m excited to show you guys since you haven’t seen them as much, hehe.

Reference sheet for Blythe Fawke!

Those little throwing knives are my favourite …!! They’re so little .. and silvery … 8} 

I think I know what my characters look like until I try to draw a reference sheet for them and then … nada. IB

This was a challenge to do, but I feel like I understand how to draw Eaton Clairemont a fair bit better now. XD It was surprisingly a really good exercise! I’m doing a reference sheet for Blythe, too, so I’ll post that next week.

I was going to do one of these for each of the crew, but … nah. Nah man. Nope. X’D That was a lot of work. Until I get closer to actually DRAWING the comic as opposed to WRITING it, reference sheets of just these 2 will do for now!

I also tried used some character models for the different standing poses, too, so that was also good practice! And the weapons are really fun to draw!! I’ve been trying to decide on Eaton’s sword and ring designs for a while, so it’s nice to finally have them decided. XD

There’s Eaton, Blythe, Jin, Garin, Jess, Noa, Hazel … Uhhh, was that all?? I meant to post some pictures I drew recently of Crab, too, but I ran out of space. XD There are a couple of others that didn’t make it into the post, as well.

You might recognise some of these guys from previously, but I’ve really tried to flesh them out lately as I work more and more on the actual story script! So that’s a pretty cool development …!!

I don’t love how some things turned out, but I’m pretty happy with the perspective, even though I don’t really like how it looks … X’D I feel like it’s fairly … anatomically .. correct?? HHHHHhh.

That box .. I do not love it, either, but I’m still designing it so just. Don’t look at it too much right now. XD
