I’m running a wild sale online right now because now is a super good time to support us small local businesses if you can! I’ve been selling my work (mostly at markets and events which are now not an option) for over 20 years and if I may be frank, this is the first time I’ve ever been scared for the future of my business. It is the first time I’ve been not sure if I can make it through. I am scared that after the health crisis, many otherwise viable small local businesses will never recover. I know this is direct, but if you have been thinking about buying something from me, now would be the time! Plus my stuff is cool and it would mean a lot to me personally. Got my order from @heretic-knights today! The oils come wrapped in bubble wrap so they don’t break on the way. Each order comes with your choice of money powder, money rice, or money bath salts! I got the psychic oil, but he also sells money oil, blockbuster oil, crossing oil, uncrossing oil, control oil, protection oil, love oil, and tobacco oil.
Today is the day we usually celebrate Pi Day, but honestly it feels infinitely* silly with so much happening around our pale blue dot. So instead of celebrating an irrational number, we thought we’d share slices* of some small but rational* steps for uplifting one another in difficult times.
As many of you know, we are in the process of setting up our own small (women-owned!) business, and as we work through that process we appreciate even more how much time and energy the artists & vendors we share here have put into their own craft. For many of them, maintaining their livelihoods is especially challenging right now, but luckily, we can help!
Instead of hoarding toilet paper, why not start your winter-holiday gift shopping veryearly!Orstock up on birthday presents, or gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations (with or without in-person ceremonies), Just Because Day! If you’re not sure what someone special (even yourself) might like, purchase a gift card from your favorite artist. Want a custom creation? Message an artist on social media for a commission so they don’t have to pay fees to sites like Etsy. :)

I was part of the virtual Artists’ Alley at Cloud Comic Con this weekend, and I did a big shop update in celebration! I’ve got a bunch of new badges, stickers and prints, and I’ll be doing a print order this week so anything marked ‘pre-order’ will be shipped out by the end of this month.
(Now is also the time to shoot me a message if there’s something I’ve drawn that you’d like a print of but isn’t listed in my shop! I use a local print shop who’ll do me as many or as few copies as I want, so specific one-off requests are totally doable.)
The CCC Artists’ Alley will be open until the 4th of August, so you’ve got plenty of time to check out all the other awesome folks who are also taking part! I know a lot of them from the local Scottish con scene, and even the smallest bit of support means a lot to small businesses like ours.
