Tonight was my first night at Friday night Swordcraft! It was so rainy and cold but everyone is so lovely!

I’m now putting away my sofkit for LARP into my new room, did a quickie flatlay of Mirabella’s main outfit.
Cape, brooches and blouse made by me, bodice and belt are Armstreet, sword by Calimacil, Pistol by Gunner’s Arsenal on Facebook, pouch is from medieval faire, skirt and frog from etsy, fur collar and gloves are ebay.

It’s something like 7 days till I leave NSW for VIC. (Oh btw I’m moving cities/states) and amongst packing and whining to my terrific boy about how stressed I am, I have been trying to push on with this jacket. I haven’t worked on it super much because I was anxious it wouldn’t pan out but I honestly think it’s coming together. (The cuff is just pinned on for the pic.)

It’s been a good couple of weeks at Swordcraft! It’s finally cooling down so I’ve been able to armour up. I busted out the mail for the first time since last winter and it looks lit
Currently testing out the design of this new leg harness, which I’ve found some functional flaws in but it looks great
15th century joined hose! They weren’t the easiest thing to make, but they were worth it. They are for my new character, “Geraldine”, for my new Swordcraft warband, “The Hounds”. They are made from 100% boiled wool and navy in color.
To state the obvious, I am not the same size as the average man, so I had to create my own pattern for these. It took a fair amount of time, a lot of calico, and a lot of mistakes. I am very happy with the result, though!
Joined hose are basically 15th-century pants - they’ve come a bit further than 14th-century braies and hose, and actually cover your bum, which is nice (I was getting pretty sick of having a cold backside at Quest!).

Probably one of my favorite looks from the last two years or so. Super, super simple and comfortable, and really easy to do archery in!! This is my usual Swordcraft character, Cecilia, Duchess of Chesterwick.
Basically, it’s an underdress, an overdress, a breastplate and a hood! The profile of it all ends up coming across as quite 14th century (early), while still remaining fantasy and LARP appropriate.
