The entire show of ToraDora, I was waiting for Minori to confess she loves Taiga, because all text and subtext were pushing very obviously in that direction, but then they throw me this???? She likes **Ryuuji***????? “I’m jealous of you,” she says to Ryuuji, in regards to his close relationship with Taiga. “I care for Taiga very much” she says, staring wistfully in Taiga’s direction. “I have to fix this broken star on my own” because if Ryuuji helps, then - then what? It becomes another thing Ryuuji does for Taiga instead of what she can do for Taiga???? “i refuse to get in the way of my best friend’s (who I love) happiness, so i’ll refrain from confessing” she said, spending multiple episodes and the entire last arc agonising. she ran in an all boys race where the prize was the honour of crowning Taija as pageant queen and also getting to ask her to dance. “are you angry that ryuuji took taiga away from you?” ami asks her while minori is crying on the floor. “I THINK I MIGHT LIKE GIRLS” she LITERALLY SAID, LOOKING AT TAIGA. ????thefuck???? Everything the show was building up to was her love for Taiga and I was holding out hope up to the last possible second for that confession but at the very end it was RYUUJI???Unsatisfying.
