I haven’t posted a new photo, or even taken one, in a long time…5-6 months if my memory serves me…mostly it doesn’t.
My cognition has been bad and getting worse since last June. Parkinson’s is mostly to blame and heavy use of Prednisone after a crippling gout attack and high dose Cannabis for my insomnia didn’t help.
I wanted to give my daughter one of my old camera bodies (Canon 50D) so I had to relearn the body myself and clean the sensor. She is a Birder and loves to photograph them. For her birthday we bought her a used 100-400 Canon L Series lens to use for birding to go along with the 50D crop body
I also realized that I had pretty much forgotten how to find and access all the features on my EOS 5D MKII and 6D (used above), That’s how bad my cognition had slipped. I stopped using Cannabis for sleep and my cognition has improved (somewhat) in the last 4 weeks but everything is taking more time to re-learn and retain.
So this is one of my first photos taken since last November. It is a crop since my 400mm doesn’t get me nearly as close on a full frame camera as on a crop body but it is in decent focus but required a fair amount of sharpening.
Hopefully, I will continue to shoot and maybe regain some of what I have lost.
