… Though, I do have to point out: Judging by Geed’s canonical transformation sequence, where you can see a ‘base form’ for Geed for a few seconds, Geed’s base form should be exactly identical to Early Belial except for the color timer, which stays a crystal shape. Jungkook’s chest heaves as he falls back onto the hard ground, lungs aflame and head spinning. He rips the gloves from his hands and runs his fingers through his hair, wrapped palms coming away slick with sweat. He pushes himself up, wiping them off on his pants and reaching for his bottle of water, ignoring the way the world spins around him in favor of chugging some down. The icy water soothes his heated body on its way down, settling in his empty stomach with an unpleasant thunk.
He hadn’t meant to push himself so far or be at this for hours as opposed to the minutes it takes his body to warm up in the morning. He just tends to lose himself sometimes, so focused on the movements of his body and the way his muscles scream. He doesn’t even notice the passage of time until his body can’t take anymore, until all he can do is collapse in a heap on the floor and pray his heart and lungs don’t burst.
Ironically, it’s in these moments – when he can barely breathe – that he feels the most alive. The feeling is so eerily similar to the way his body reacts to fear these days, when he’s caught in the throes of panic and is willing himself to just keep going.
When he’s cornered and about to find his way out is when he feels the most free and like nothing can stop him.
A single, sharp ping from across the room catches Jungkook’s attention and, in the next moment, he’s lifting himself to his feet. He dabs the palm of his hand across his forehead in an effort to stop the sweat from dripping into his eyes and makes his way over to an old, wooden shipping crate he’s been using as a desk. Tapping a finger to the touchpad of his laptop – that’s admittedly seen better days – he notices a new email sitting in his inbox. He hums in interest, swinging a leg over an overturned barrel and taking a seat as he begins to read.
The email doesn’t say much, but he doesn’t expect it to. By now, he knows emails are just a way of getting his attention. A way of saying hey, look at me. He knows by now to ignore everything the email says and focus on the link attached at the very bottom. He clicks it and is immediately brought to an encrypted server, screen going a shade of black that probably would have had any other user panicking.
Excitement fizzles in his chest.
A green cursor appears on the screen, the little vertical line blinking into life just before words slowly begin to appear.
I felt the adrenaline while reading this, but more to overshadow the sadness that is this story. Bc underneath all the action, the humor, and the danger, is a man who just wants a home, perhaps something - someone - he’s never rly had before. And when he found it, he couldn’t even have it. And I think that’s what hurt the most with this. But god, this was written so well.

The more you google bee reproductive biology the more absurd it is that we’re applying the words male and female to them. Their actual genders are worker, drone and queen. The queen is capable of both asexual and sexual reproduction. Bees born of unfertilized eggs become drones that are capable of fertilizing eggs. Bees born of fertilized eggs become workers, but can also potentially become a queen depending on how they are fed during the larval stage.
Use whatever the fuck pronouns you want to describe bees because they’re all equally incorrect projections of human worldview onto an insect species. Bees don’t experience mammalian sexual dimorphism in a biological sense nor do they experience human gender dimorphism in a sociopolitical sense.
Summary: Logan and Roman are celebrating five years of marriage and get so incredibly distracted before they’re even able to work on their plans for the day.
There was so many things Logan loved about his husband. He could try to list them, but then he’d be stuck in bed with Roman’s arm thrown over his waist and head on his chest while Logan himself stared at the ceiling all day.
Well… he’d say the rest of the week but Logan wasn’t really one for exaggeration.
