Fleeing the Netherlands at one point due to extreme islamophobia, they decided to return for better access to medical mental health care. moving is expensive, being pressured to move is even more expensive. all of this compounds with the current COVID-19 pandemic, due to strict border requirements my friends cat Skitty is currently stranded in Istanbul. they are currently in need of money to both bring Skitty home AND contribute to their family’s rent and grocery expenses while they resettle. If she cannot gather the funding Skitty will have to be humanly euthanized.
We can all empathize with the lonely feelings of the pandemic. i personally can say i wouldn’t have made it through this all this far without my pets, and i’m sure some of you feel the same. Emotional Support Animal doesn’t come close to explaining how important this little cat is to her. They have spent agonizing months apart (for the both of them!) and it would mean so much to have them reunited.
we are at €816/€5000 rn! this is a great start but my friend still needs help covering the rest of the pet fees as well as supplying her family with rent for their first months back.

we never expected this much support, we just wanted to bring some positivity back to tumblr, but through this we have found how many people share that same wish as us. i hope that together we can continue to make tumblr a kinder and more positive place to be, and along the way we can drag some more people into this
I wanted to contribute one more piece to MerMay this year before the month is over. I may do some sketches and a few more pieces, but it’s a big MAYBE right now.
Anyway, I wanted to do something cute for this, so I kidnapped @freckleocalypse’s Abel (for the hundredth time) and thought about making a ‘meeting of the babes’, meaning adopted son meets 2-week-old baby from the Humpback pod Daemon’s been traveling with. :)
And yes, I see most whale merfolk as being the giants among merfolk. I thought this would be a good example to show size differences.
i think people forget that sera did go through several arcs with her mother, the ability loss, and even before that when she still had their head up their ass.
