Do you know what the Three Garridebs scene in TFP

A CLIFFHANGER.
Haha remember when we thought it couldn’t get worse than the six thatchers haha
Fuck it I’ll just go on Ao3 and read happy Johnlock fluff and forget this all
That moment when you switch every 5 minutes from “nah they are happy and this episode was not bad” to “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WHAT WAS THIS EVEN” to “I’m literally so pissed of I’m just lying here and thinking about what to scream into Mark gatiss’ and Steven Moffat’s face if I ever meet them”
STOP HATING THE EPISODE BECAUSE YOU THINK JOHNLOCK DIDN’T HAPPEN BECAUSE YOU ARE LITERALLY BULLYING THE POEPLE WHO PUT SO MUCH EFFORT IN THIS AND THEY DON’T NEED A FUCKING KISS TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER I MEAN DID YOU SEE THE LAST FEW MINUTES THEY WERE ACTING LIKE HAPPY HUSBANDS RAISING HAPPILY THEIR CHILD SO OMG PLEASE STOP I KNOW THEY COULD’VE DONE BETTER BUT I HOPE Y'ALL AREN’T IN THIS FANDOM ONLY BECAUSE OF JOHNLOCK AND IT MAKES ME SAD SEEING OUR FANDOM FALLING APART BECAUSE WE ARE A FAMILY aren’t we
And how the hell did you make history now?
Sincerely,
The Sherlock Fandom
Seriously
The more I watch…

Sher: THATS WHY HE STAYS
Be still my SCREAMING heart
The BBC apparently doesn’t.
They’ve finally published their monthly summary for complaints received during January and while the numbers are higher than normal, there’s not a single explicit mention of the clusterfuck that was TFP.
Of course, most of us can infer what “a larger collection of views about programme content and services” means, but one wonders, had the episode (and hell, the series) been critically well-received, whether they would feel more comfortable about mentioning it explicitly, just like they did with EastEnders. Because this does feel like yet another attempt to sweep the whole thing under the rug and pretend that S4 never happened.
And considering the BBC commissioned Sherlock in the first place, their silence on the issue speaks very loudly indeed. *cough*seriesfiveistotesnothappening*cough*
