ShiORi iS MaKinG aN AppEAranCe?!!

So I saw that Shiori is going to appear in yashahime soon (which really surprised me) and back in November I made this whole headcanon story for how I imagined Shiori could show up in the show and I wanted to color it before I posted it but school has been kicking my butt. So here ya go!

• Soon after inu gang leaves shiori wants to commemorate her father and inuyasha who left quite the impact on her life
• She decides to make some jewlery using broken pieces from half the crystal and some rope.
• She originally thought there was no more power in the crystal when there actually was
• She realizes this one day when shes in danger and a barrier forms around her & her braclets start to glow and defy gravity

• Fast forward shiori is older now and she notices some people on the beach one day…

• So Shiori has been noticing as of recent that some of kirinmaru’s people have been coming ashore to feast on nearby villages
• Shiori has been able to conceal herself and her mothers home but there isnt much she can do about the villages
• She tells the girls this and they want to stick around till nightfall (when kirnmarus guys show up) to help and maybe get a lead
• (I was thinking that Shiori maybe tells moroha about her dad in the meantime but don’t have a drawing for that)

• Shiori conceals the girls using her now honed jewlery barrier powers to sneak up on kirinmaru’s men
• Long story short the girls beat them up but one gets away which leads to them borrowing Shiori’s boat

• And as parting gift shiori gives them the other half of the crystal

Phew! That was long I am no writer so the story is very straight forward and one note but, hey I had fun

Thoughts on Yashahime ep 12 SPOILERS!:

I dont have anyone to rant to so guess I’ll just put stuff here

• The twins actively seeked out moroha this time, wanted her to come with them and not due to a bounty that was nice
• When moroha complained about having to split the bounty again I was like????? When? It seems the last few demons weren’t salvageable? God I hope she finds jobs between episodes because if events are happening one after the other moroha is going to starve from lack of funds
• But tbh the twins (and sunrise) aren’t going to let that happen so whatever I think to deep about things
• Moroha wiling to make a deal with demon for multipul heads XD
• Towa not having human nights in the modern world is bullshit. She is still a half demon in the modern world the moon exists. Why wouldn’t she have it? It’s a biological thing right? Next thing your gonna tell me she couldnt hit puberty because she was in the modern world
• Ive been rewatching inuyasha and it seemed to me a human night differed for each half demon. Not every half demon transforms on the new moon but myoga comes in saying ITS ONLY THE NEW MOON
• Ok I just checked Myoga literally said himself it differs for every half demon :

• Missed opportunity to make it a crescent moon or just somthing diffrent from inuyasha himself
• I know that’s a small detail but god I loved the original series and the little things that made half demons half demons I found so cool
• Maybe half demon dog demons all have the same night?!? Idk
• ALSO SPEAKING OF MOYGA did moroha literally just make him appear because she said she was going to use the rouge??? What the hell was that?!?! Was he following her hopping she’d use it? How did he hear her say that?
• Like he alway’s appears out of nowhere but at least it was somthing that made sense like he was in kiara fur or on one of Koga’s wolf’s. Inuyasha never yelled “Moyga come here” and he was just boom there
• The dream butterfly taking away Setsunnas human nights is also bullshit. That butterfly can do anything at this point
• At least Moroha makes sense we have never had a quarter demon character she is not only new territory but human nights were specifically a half demon thing
• Moroha knocking towa out out of concern was sweet. I bet the original inu gang wanted to do that many times for inuyasha
• Regarding Morohas spirit powers it seems to me she relies on her demon powers a lot more then her spiritual powers so it was weird she put a spiritual barrier up so easily
• But also the way it was done confuses me

1. Moyga for some reason knows how to write sutras

2. When Miroku would use his sutra’s he would pray over them not sprinkle magical sparkles like moroha did

• I guess she could have been praying but idk maybe I dont understand how sutras work?Or how to apply spiritual energy?
• I tried to find example but all I could find is when they put a barrier around the shack inuyasha was in:

• Random thing I just now noticed Kohaku (and sango probably to) have rebuilt the demon slayer clan! That must mean so much to both of them that things wont die out with them and their traditions can be passed on.
• Khokau and Hisui over in the forest being like FIRE BURN MOUNTAIN GOOD

Anyway I did enjoy the episode but boy did it leave me confused

• Edit: I just found out that Moyga’s explanation for the human night in yashahime had translation errors so oop

Just got done with the first episodes of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.☺️……… I was not disappointed……….if you watched the first episode already what did you think? ……….don’t spoiled it for anyone if you want to talk about it more in depth message me…….. excited for episode 2

Lord willing Yashahime will end with the portal permanently open for Kagome and Towa to visit Sota and his family for the rest of their lives.

I just know modern day Tokyo’s lights, smells, and sounds were kicking 4 year old Towa’s ass.

Yashahime prediction:

The entire main casts from both series racing to defeat the comet in Sota’s minivan.

Towa is definitely going to talk with her grandfather at some point, in fact I think she’s an incarnation of him…

None of the girls seem heterosexual to me I’ll be honest.

Moroha could have worked really well as an older teenager who mentors her cousins (especially Towa). Her characterization in the beginning set her up as a deeply knowledgeable individual who was more in tune with her demonic heritage than the twins.

She also knew what Sesshomaru smelled like at the start, which makes me think there could’ve been an added element of her working with her uncle.

I don’t agree with most Towa hate anyway, but the ones based on stereotypes about how masculine girls/women should act really piss me off.

“She’s supposed to be a tomboy but she’s not rough or scrappy like I imagine all gender non-conforming girls are” like if you don’t shut up…

Man, I’ll tell you what I loved the most about episode 20 of Yashahime…

I know ever since the show started people had mixed feeling or doubts about how Sesshomaru truly felt about his daughters and what kind of a father he would be to them. Even I wasn’t sure how he would be. It could of gone either way. But we saw in this episode that Sesshomaru TRULY cares and loves his daughters. Not only did he send Jaken to take Setsuna to the half demon village to keep her safe. But he was sending gifts and notes and helping her train her powers (showing that if none of this tragedy stuff happened that’s exactly what he would be doing with Towa and Setsuna as they grow) He even gave her fur like his as a tribute! He even gave Setsuna the opportunity to live with humans just like Rin did! This is the same Sesshomaru who HATED humans and half demons more than anything. Yet. He fell in love and married a human and had half demon children. Why? Because he wanted them! This episode showed that Sesshomaru had every intention of raising his kids with Rin and being there for them. He had no intention of abandoning them at all. The character development for him is absolutely astounding and I’m so happy about it.

THEORY TIME

At the end of episode 18, when the girls are at the tree and Setsuna is playing her violin, Towa reflects and makes the statement “I wonder what Sesshomaru is trying to do”

Then….

It IMMEDIATELY cuts to Rin floating in the tree with the subtitle “Towa and Setsuna’s mother”

I think that Sesshomaru could only be around the daughters so much, otherwise not only would they be in danger, but so will Rin. I believe that after Sesshomaru helped Kagome and Inuyasha escaped from Kirinmaru, he took offense to that, and sealed Rin up. However, I’m sure he made a deal with Sesshomaru and said something like “With the powers of the dream butterfly Setsuna will not be hunted down in her dreams and will be safe, but if you defy my orders again Rin will perish” or something along those lines. So that’s why he has to keep his distance from his daughters, so that Rin will be safe. But of course Sesshomaru has compassion for his daughters so that’s why he helped a little today. But that cannot be a reaccuring thing. I’m really excited to see the climax of this show fall into place.

So something that I’ve noticed as I’ve been watching Yashahime is that Towa and Setsuna favor their parents in different ways. Setsuna seems to have inherited Sesshomaru’s personality in her stoic, almost cold demeanor, especially when it comes to fighting and war. Towa seems to have inherited Rin’s personality, as they both have such a warm smile and presence. I believe it was one of the voice actors in Yashahime that said you would find out who the mother is by looking at Towa, so for me that’s how I figured it out. Something that I would REALLY like to see from Sesshomaru when he finally interacts with them is if he notices these similarities, especially with Towa. We may not get much dialog, but what if we got this sweet scene of Sesshomaru looking at his daughters and he’s able to see Rin’s warmth and smile in Towa I think it’s unrealistic that we’ll get Sesshomaru straight up telling his feelings, but we might get little glances here and there that will lead up to how he truly feels about Rin and his children. And maybe a comment from Jaken here and there since in the preview it shows he’s alive and well, so we should DEFINITELY get more clues to this puzzle, if not tomorrow then definitely in the upcoming weeks
