#trans day of visibility

LIVE

chaosofbattle:

it’s trans day of visibility! i’ve seen posts circulating about the transphobic bills being passed in arkansas and alabama, but i haven’t seen much about how almost every other state has several transphobic bills up for discussion that can still be prevented.

you can go to this link: https://freedomforallamericans.org/legislative-tracker/anti-transgender-legislation/ to see which bills are before your state legislature, and then GO CONTACT YOUR STATE REPS!!!!! call, email, testify, protest, do whatever you’re comfortable with that will make your voice heard. we can still stop these bills from becoming law.

During our first contest my friend’s opening set was near the drumline and he heard them chanting this as they counted off and yea there’s definitely a reason we won best percussion TWICE this season because they really are great. In more ways than one.

DURING OUR LAST GAME THIS SEASON I GOT TO WITNESS THEM DO IT. FUNK YEA TRANS RIGHTS.

I was wondering why I had so many notifications on here. Forgot I posted this last year. I got to hear the drumline actually say it during my season this year. Highlight of my junior season tbh

happy trans day of visibility! posting some selfies because I’m a cute, valid trans non binary person who has worked really hard to be comfortable in their skin and live authentically.

support trans people! fight with us against transphobic people and policies. realize that not every trans person is able to, can afford, or wants to transition, both with hormones and surgery as well as the way they present. their transition is not for the spectacle of cis people or for cis people to finally approve of us when we “pass” or they’re attracted to us.

donate to trans organizations today and everyday. when you see trans people reaching out because they’re homeless or struggling to afford HRT, surgeries, rent, and a lot of times basic necessities, DONATE!! $1 still makes a difference if more people contribute.

If you can donate today, I recommend the black trans travel fund set up by Devin Michael Lowe. It provides safe transportation to black trans people, as we know this community, especially black trans women, is most at risk and has the highest rates of being assaulted and murdered.

Happy trans day of visibility. It’s been over 2 years since I finished my transition and I’m glad to continue to live life as myself, even if I don’t have the language for what I am. And I’m proud to stand as a trans Muslim and show the world that we exist.

They/Them

Kinda late but GIVE TRANS MUSLIMS MORE VISIBILITY PLS!! people think we don’t exist

My contribution to the Trans Day of Visibility! Fuck gender norms, I’m making my own definition of masculinity, and reinventing “pretty boy swag.” Reppin’ it for all the other disabled qtpoc folk out there. Rise up and let your vices be heard! Never be silenced, never let this world erase you. Live your truth and be proud, because you matter. Your voice, your presence, together we show the world that wematter, that we’re here and that they’re not taking shit away from us. No matter how much they oppress us, we ain’t goin no fuckin’ place! Keep on living your truth, and living authentically. You are beautiful and valid. Always remember that you matter, and that you are enough! ♡ ♡ ♡

happy tdov, y'all

i’m from texas and i had to move away after coming out in middle school, due to it being unsafe to be a trans man in texas. with the recent news going on i wanted to put this in bluebonnet fields. i hope everyone else doesn’t forget about trans rights for rural and southern people, because it really does feel like a whole other world between city and country sometimes and we have got a lot of work to do

[id: a trans man in a field of bluebonnets. he has a cigarette and a cowboy hat, which is tipped over his face. he is pre-op, and shirtless, with blue jeans on. he is reclining and wrapped in a trans flag. /end id]
