My boyfriend has to go to the ren fair for work but i can come and he wanted to do a matching costume. He was like “I want to be Frodo” and I was like “oh cool I can be Shelob” which was, apparently, not the couples costume he was thinking of
I was like “babe she has the most screen time of any woman in Return of the King” and my boyfriend was like “that cannot be true,” looked it up, and said “i can’t believe that’s true”
finally a strong female character who doesn’t shave her legs
I am so sorry you guys, in Middle Earth:Shadows of War Shelob absolutely shaves her legs.
Okay I love the idea of C!Tommy taking care of hybrid shroud as much as the next guy…
But can we just imagine how funny it would be if Shroud was just a normal Mob spider? but everyone THINKS he’s a shapeshifter.
Like imagine Sometimes Shroud can be seen wearing one of Tommy’s old shirts, with the addition of a few shirt holes for his other arms. Others think it’s because he doesn’t like being in his human for in public. while in reality Shroud is just an anxious spider and has comfort shirts when he goes outside. (Kind of how dogs have sometimes have ‘thunder shirts’ or anxiety vests)
The reason why shroud is anxious being that overworld spiders don’t attack during the day because they are scared of people since they can’t hide in the shadows as well as they could at night, making it harder for them to attack first and easier for them to be killed.
But when Shroud met Tommy he was just taken in on sight so he’s not as scared of the outside when walking around with him (mostly will be seen hanging on his arm or on his back tho.)
Or someone would point out that Shroud seems to intelligent for a normal spider, but it’s just Tommy teaching him tricks (since y’know he doesn’t want his emotional support spider and friend to die)
Tommy doesn’t confirm nor deny the theory since he’s afraid that if the idea of Shroud possibly being human is out of the realm of possibility it would put his pet in danger. Since y’know a majority of his pets tend to get killed…
But really it’d just be a funny idea because while I like the idea of Tommy having to be the responsible parental/brother figure for once, but I just like the idea of Tommy having an emotional support spider even more TvT
Kinda messed up that Annabeth’s arc with her father is about Annabeth learning to forgive him and not Frederick learning how if your seven year old tells you she’s regularly tortured by magic spiders you should probably do something about that
And she was encouraged to do this by Percy “got his abusive step father petrifiedandsold”Jackson, and he didn’t even know about the spiders, or Annabet’s family’s ignorance of them! And he apparently thought her family was going to be ugly? Which is. Weird? And Frederick never gets better! He tries to move away with no concern for Annabeth’s happiness or safety, he melts down her weapons without her permission or knowledge for research purposes, and he can’t even tell his other two kids apart! After at least five years of shared living
Virgil probably has to throw out his old skin after a molt, so just picture:
He’s walking into the kitchen like ‘sup up Thomas’ as he holds a mass of floppy flesh and puts it in the bin. Or one of the other sides opens the bin to see Virgil’s flesh just chillin inside. Only the Dark Sides know that Virgil molts (Janus has had to stop Remus eating it) but none of the light sides know…so they’re in for a surprise.
Also what about his hair? Is there just a little floof attached?
