What sorts of other things do you think Lestat captured in his expansive collection of Polaroids?

A sweet Polaroid from Lestat’s collection, featuring a bright, happy grin from Louis. 

A fairly well-known panel of the “Queen of the Damned” comic re-drawn by me. 

I swear, I genuinely tried to make this sweet and poignant, but Armand was just not having it. Try as I might, his facial expression repeatedly came out like this. So I gave up. 

Once again, Armand has tainted the vibe. 

The comic re-draws never end, huh?

Well, in this one, I’ve done the impossible: make Lestat look fuckable in a circa-1985 mullet and vest like this. I’ll be waiting for my award. 

Also, if you’ve read the comic, you’ll notice that I’ve redesigned two of the members of the band to adhere to MY personal vision of them. The tall one with the black hair is the only one who was bang-on the way he was. 

Another major departure from the comic was the red background and a slightly more devious expression on Lestat’s face. The original illustration was giving me vibes inconsistent with the actual gist of the story. It looked like Lestat was teaching the band how to sing “Top of the World” by the Carpenters. Trust me on this. 

Another interminable comic re-draw. I simply had to do this one. It’s so hilariously over-the-top. 

Louis doesn’t often talk to himself about “maximizing each experience,” but when he does, he poses shirtless on his porch in the rain like he’s going to be on the front cover of “Sexy Sad Boy Monthly.” 

Louis could really “maximize” my “experience” by chucking his pants over the railing, too. 

Yet another comic re-draw. I can’t get enough! 

And if Louis looks like a precious Disney prince who must be protected at all costs, that’s because he is. 

Louis has tolerated some serious shit from Lestat, but even the slightest criticism of his audio-book will result in an instant, no-questions-asked exile to the cold, lonely couch. Better luck next time, Lestat! 

Another comic re-draw, as requested by @imelza

This is a small portion of a larger part of a page dedicated to the turning of Louis. It stuck out to me in particular because of their poses and their faces–Louis’ cute lil’ face feeding on Lestat’s wrist is so sweet, almost in a breastfeeding kind of way, but the phrasing of Lestat’s words and his facial expression give it a more sexual edge. 

Yet another Vampire Chronicles comic re-draw of a part we all know and love. I’m having too much fun with these. 

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m on a bit of a “Lestat x Louis shared pain” kick lately, hence this scene from “Interview with the Vampire.”

In the book, Lestat is nearby, but not standing next to Louis with his hand on his shoulder–this is something I added to emphasize their shared loss. 

I promise my next post will be more upbeat, although I could accomplish that by posting pretty much anything other than this.
