Water lillies
this was a decent movie, definitely not the most exciting thing ever tho. It did also get a little bit weird with how much the main character (who is supposed to be like 13) had very few clothes on? It is French tho idk if that means something. Also stars Adele Haenel from portrait of a lady on fire which was a nice surprise. personally wouldn’t recommend 5.5/10 edit: JUST found out it’s written and directed by the same lady who did portrait of a lady on fire???? I can kind of see that but POALOF is a lot better
Claude Monet in his garden, 1905.
Water lily
Another in a long line of movies about a teenage loner falling in love with a popular girl. This one is more of a triangle in which a loner is into another loner who is into a popular girl. But with swimming. And like many of these movies, it’s unclear how much of the feelings involved are those of a lesbian awakening variety and how much they are those of a crush on a hot person who you have confusing boundaries with variety. So basically, the experience of being fifteen. Through a Celine Sciamma filter.
