Been playing a lot of Deadly Premonition recently. Couple weeks ago I finished the first game and now playing Blessing in Disguise. And let me just say… I’ve gone down the rabbit hole once again, haha. Already planning another DP piece once I get done with a couple of other ones first.

I also just want to put my two cents into this critical reviewed game for those who are curious about my experience. And I say that if you can go into something with a clear mind, forget about the lackluster combat, and be in it for the story it’s something really enjoyable. Trust me, I laughed plenty of times on how ridiculous it can get, but it’s to the point where it became campy for me that I gotten used to it. Seriously though York alone makes everything worthwhile I believe. So if you’ve had your doubts or been wanting to play it as long as I have but forgotten about it, remember it now! $19.99 on Xbox, life is beautiful yo.

The realization went through him like a sword thrust. The boy’s mother was dead. Not just his real mother, who’d died the same day he was born—but the woman he’d called mother all his life since. And now his father—or the man he called father, Jamie thought with an unconscious twist of his mouth—was lying sick of an illness that had killed another man before the lad’s eyes no more than days before.

An unaccustomed weed of jealousy sprang up in Jamie’s heart, stinging like nettles. He stamped firmly on it; he was fortunate indeed to know that his son enjoyed a loving relationship with his stepfather. There, that was the weed stamped out. The stamping, though, seemed to have left a small bruised spot on his heart; he could feel it when he breathed.
