You’re not going to learn Astrology or anything if you’re always going to ask people how to interpret a placement of yours. It’s okay to step out of your comfort zone and learn how to interpret your placement yourself.

I remember when Tumblr astrology is still in its infancy, and everyone was doing research on their own with EPUB’s and PDF’s of Astrology and Esoteric books online. This is how we also got to know what this all means.
It’s okay to ask your Tumblr astrologists, but you have to remember that not all who practice are professionals. So, it would be best to hit the books, online archives that go way back, and articles written by professional astrologers. Trust me, this is how I also learned. And! You’ll get your answers faster because you’re actually doing the work!
You know, it’s really disheartening when people copy your work. There’s a distinct difference between taking inspiration from your work, and completely copying word per word. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me. I’ve found my writings copy-pasted on IG without my permission as well. But to see my work plagiarized on Tumblr as well really is the final nail on the coffin. I have to address this because enough is enough.
I really don’t want to have to stop doing my tarot and astrology posts because I truly enjoy what I do. But most importantly, this is my source of income.
I didn’t want to resort to having to copyright my works since astrologyandtarot isn’t my property to begin with. But to see a lot of people from different social media literally copy and paste my posts (and making money out of it!) is really heartbreaking. Please don’t do this to me. Please don’t do this to other content makers on Tumblr because we really, really work hard for what we have on our blogs. These posts aren’t made out of nothing. We’ve made this from scratch, and it’s not easy formatting posts.
Thank you to all the people who have messaged me privately, and helping me address these issues. You have no idea how thankful I am to all of you over the years (especially during these recent months) for helping me tackle these.

I just. my heart is so sad for Ukraine. If I have any Ukrainian followers reading this, I really hope you and your loved ones are safe and well and that everything is resolved with minimal bloodshed.
A quick lil rant because I am feeling mildly annoyed right now:
Some of you in this spiritual/tarot/divination community need to stop pressuring people into rushing their healing process. I’m talking about when y'all just assume someone hasn’t taken their time to deal with the aftermath of something that left them severely distressed if not traumatized just because they still have some toxic habits, have their bad days, have a negative mindset.. fuck even for feeling rightfully upset about something horrible that happened to them. The truth is that healing takes so much time, you can’t erase months/years worth of trauma by just being positive. No one is going to heal from a traumatic childhood just because they repeat a few affirmations every morning, practice mindfulness, meditate everyday, etc.
What you’re doing by invalidating people’s struggles, all of the terrible things they had to go through, and all of the effort they’ve put into healing is teaching them that they’re a failure because they have yet to be “fixed”. You’re teaching them that they shouldn’t feel their feelings, that they should bury them deep within. Which prolongs the process of healing, making it take longer to heal than if they were told that sometimes the only thing you cando is cry, be sad, feel everything. You need to feel and release these feelings in order to move on with your life and actually heal.
Spirituality is an amazing tool to helpone in their healing journey but it should -never- replace therapy or professional help.
@astroloshai First of all, thank you so much for this post. I feel like this is one of the most important things this community should know and understand.
Currently, I’m taking my master’s degree to get my license to practice clinical psychology. At the same time, I try to balance my spiritual practice alongside my mental health services. There are times wherein tarot clients come to me asking for a reading because of a certain traumatic event that happened to them some years ago, and they’d also say that some readers they’ve sought in the past had very condescending and invalidating “spiritual advice” to say.
This annoys the fuck out of me because first of all, no “spiritual reader” should belittle someone else’s traumatic past and experiences. Just because a client’s trauma doesn’t seem much to the reader doesn’t give the reader any fucking right to invalidate that experience at all.
Secondly, I have encountered several tarot readers especially on Instagram who keep on giving a timeline to the client that “within 3 months, you will be healed.” (This is why I stopped being on IG because of these fake readers who are only in it for the money!) No tarot reader is entitled to giving a “timeline” to someone’s trauma recovery!
And lastly, I make it a point to note to the client if I couldn’t tackle specific inquiries — such as miscarriages,CSA, or any other traumas along those lines. And since I’m in line with mental health services, I gently (I repeat, GENTLY) nudge them to seek professional help alongside their spiritual assistance because traumatic events are best left to mental health professionals.
I don’t force them to go to therapy, of course. And I always ask them if it’s okay that I say a personal advice, and I back off if they don’t want it. But it’s important that tarot readers acknowledge their limitations when it comes to mental/emotional healing. That’s all. ♀️
