When the whumpee gets hurt on a mission, but they just joined their team, and they’re not really sure who they’re supposed to tell, so they just decide to say nothing and deal with it on their own. The whumpee patching themself up, and not doing a terrible job, then trying to go about their life as normal. Their teammates not suspecting anything until they notice the whumpee wince and curl around their side after moving carelessly, and them asking the whumpee what’s wrong. The whumpee admitting that they’d gotten hurt on the mission a couple days before, but them saying that they’d dealt with it on their own. Their teammate’s being surprised and upset that the whumpee hadn’t asked for help, and them making the whumpee sit down so they can look their injuries over. The whumpee letting them, and their teammates admitting that the whumpee did a good job patching themself up. Their teammates still forcing them to get proper medical attention, and telling them if they get hurt again, they can tell any of their teammates, and they’ll make sure they get taken care of.

When the whumpee is the team leader and they try to seem tough in front of their teammates, but when their teammates rescue them from the whumper, they can’t hide that they’re in bad shape. Their teammates checking them over quickly, and the whumpee trying to claim that they can walk, but their teammates all ignoring them, and the strongest one picking them up carefully. The whumpee trying to hide that even being carried hurts, but not being able to stop themself from making pained noises whenever they get slightly jostled. Their teammate apologizing, and trying to be as gentle as possible, and the whumpee hiding their face in their teammate’s shirt as they start to cry, the combination of the pain and the relief of being rescued just too much.

When the whumpee starts getting hypothermic on a mission in a cold, snowy area, but they try to push through it without telling their teammates, because they haven’t been on the team very long and they don’t want to be an inconvenience. One of their teammates noticing just how much the whumpee is shivering, and telling the team leader that the whumpee needs shelter and warmth. The team leader deciding it’s time to find shelter for the night, and as soon as they’ve found shelter, going over to the whumpee and asking if they’re ok. The whumpee trying to deny that anything’s wrong, but being so cold and out of it that their leader simply ignores them and leads them to sit down. The rest of the team helping the leader get the whumpee situated in the leader’s arms, and then wrapping the two in a blanket. The whumpee leaning into the team leader’s touch almost involuntarily, too cold to stop themself, and the leader gently scolding them about hiding how cold they were as they hold them close, trying to share as much warmth as possible.

When the whumpee’s team goes to rescue them, and they find them curled up in the corner of a cold cell, shivering. Their teammates immediately rushing to the whumpee, and one of their teammates pulling off their jacket to wrap around them. The whumpee leaning into their teammate’s touch, seeking out warmth, and the strongest teammate scooping them up and cradling them close. The whumpee clinging to them almost desperately, and their teammates rushing them out of there so they can get them somewhere warm and safe.

When the whumpee wakes up feeling horrible in the middle of the night, but they decide not to bother anyone about it until morning. Them just curling up in a ball under their blankets, crying silently and gritting their teeth as they wait for morning. One of their teammates coming to check on them when they don’t show up for breakfast, and finding the whumpee still curled up, shivering under their blankets and covered in sweat. The teammate touching the whumpee’s forehead and finding a fever, then running to get the team leader, knowing they’ll know how to help the whumpee.

When the whumpee just finished a fight, and they think they’re fine, but then one of their teammates hugs them, and pain explodes from their ribs. The whumpee making a pained noise, but being too exhausted to try to pull away, and slumping in their teammates arms. Their teammate being so startled that they almost dropping them, but managing to gently lower them to the ground as they ask the whumpee what’s wrong. The whumpee gasping out something about their ribs, and their teammate lifting the whumpee’s shirt to find the start of what will become some dramatic bruises. The teammate being so worried that they immediately scoop the whumpee up as gently as possible, and carry them off to find a medic to help them.

When the whumpee is the team leader, and they have to make public appearances, even when they feel horrible. Their teammates doing everything they can to take care of them behind the scenes, and the whumpee letting them, because they feel too terrible to protest. The whumpee barely making it through all their public appearances, and their teammates ushering them off to rest the second they’re out of the public eye. The whumpee barely even managing to stay awake as their teammates get food and water into them, and falling asleep the second their teammates get them tucked safely into a bed.

When the whumpee joins the rest of their team for an outing, but when they show up a few minutes late looking like they’re about to pass out, their teammates calling the days activities off so they can take the whumpee home. The whumpee protesting that they’ll be fine, and that their teammates shouldn’t inconvenience themselves, and their teammates kindly telling them to shut up and cooperate. The whumpee still feeling a bit bad about their teammates canceling everything, but letting them take them home and fuss over them anyway. Later that day, the whumpee and their team sitting together in the whumpee’s home, the whumpee under a pile of blankets on the couch, and them all watching a movie as the whumpee dozes off to the feeling of a teammate playing with their hair, feeling safe and cared for.

When the whumpee hurts their leg, but they don’t want to worry their teammates or deal with proper medical care, so they decide not to say anything. The whumpee trying to hide the fact that they’re limping from their teammates, but getting caught after only a few hours, and their teammates making them tell them what happened. The whumpee admitting that they got hurt and didn’t say anything, and their teammates asking why. The whumpee admitting that they didn’t want to worry them, and their teammates pointing out that they’re going to worry more if the whumpee hides this kind of thing. The whumpee begrudgingly admitting that that makes sense, and their teammates making them get medical care.
