I’ve had some questions about which stories I’m updating next, so here is my current plan (subject to alterations, mind, because I am a goose):

I’ve also had some questions about the soulmate AU, which I promise I haven’t forgotten! My inspiration has just been for other projects, but I am planning to pick it back up, and it makes me very happy that so many of you are excited about it<3
“tell me five things you’ve been thinking of today.”
“that’s…one way to prolong a conversation,” xiao snorts, throwing his head back comfortably on the couch. it was awfully late at night, and you were both spending the terminal thirteen minutes of your best friend’s birthday together in his house, all before the eventful day draws to an end.
“just humor me,” you smile quietly, resting your head on your palm. “one more time.”
he looks at you, thoughtful and contemplative. but he figures he’s already done a lot of staring through the stretch of several hours, and perhaps even the course of the last nine years — or, at least enough to memorize every shape, every wrinkle, every mark — every little inch on your rosy-kissed face.
and yet, no matter how many times he glances back, there’s a deep swallow that lingers without falter in the back of his throat, because he can never seem to compel himself to be accustomed to looking at you.
“i think…you should give it up and go back home, you weirdo.” he simpers smugly, rather pleased with the irked expression that quirks across your lips. “the celebration ended hours ago, you know. besides, you’re the idiot who gets all fussy about having ‘beauty sleep’.”
“…i suppose that still counts as something,” you grumble, somewhat dissatisfied. “and i’m certain i asked you to humor me, not to kick me out of your house.”
“ah. that’s right,” xiao snaps his fingers in realization. “i also think you’re very stubborn about insisting to stay over.” he remarks nonchalantly, without missing a beat. “haven’t i been seeing your face since 7 in the morning?”
“it’s called goodwill, you dickwad.” you roll your eyes, huffing in irritation at his boring and insulting answers. “maybe you’d gain an ounce of it once you finally get that nine-year old stick out of your ass.”
“i think you’ve got an awfully filthy mouth. you’re quite naughty today, little lady.” he frowns, but there’s a teasing glint in his amber eyes. “and i think you should consider yourself lucky that you’re beautiful, because at least it redeems that horrible quality.”
hmm. your cheeks flush a crimson shade at his frank compliment — nevertheless, it doesn’t stop the undeniable grin from contorting widely across your mouth. “wow. you’ve been thinking that i was pretty all day?”
you playfully lean in closer, when you see xiao suddenly malfunction very subtly in horror after processing his own confident response. “how uncharacteristically bold of you.”
“…who said i only thought of it today?” he hums softly after successfully disposing himself in a calmer state of mind, keeping his piercing eyes on you. “for all you know, i could have been thinking about you for years.”
(thinking about you. not just about how you were beautiful.)
“…you have one last thought.” you furtively whisper, entranced by perhaps the mistaken slip of his weighty words.
“let’s make it count then,” he breathes gruffly, ever-so-slightly angling his head closer to your face. “i think…”
he pauses in his sentence, probably thinking his last response over before abruptly shaking his head. “oh fuck it,” xiao mutters.
“i think i’ve always wanted to kiss you ever since i’ve known you.”
your chest skips a hundred beats.
“oh yeah?” you smile, slowly when you raise your hand to caress his tickled pink cheeks, feeling him inch closer to reduce the proximity between you two — until all that was left was a breath away separating each other’s lips.
the clock strikes twelve, and you whisper something quietly against his mouth, causing him to smile back before meeting you in the middle for a clandestine kiss.
been sitting on this one for awhile now (I wanted to post it the day of the premiere) but I can’t wait to post it anymore – I’m too hype for blue jacket! oh man guys, it’s so soon! I’ve been completely in love with everything I’ve seen and heard about Blue so far. I feel truly lucky to be alive and into this series in this day and age – a brand new Lupin just for us excited fans is around the corner! so, Y!W! presents: Green, Red, and Pink giving Blue the affectionate welcome he deserves! here’s to new adventures!
