The aardwolf is a small relative of the hyena and lives in East and Southern Africa. Because aardwolves eat termites and other insects, they have sticky tongues and specialized teeth. Aardwolves are nocturnal and live as monogamous pairs in underground burrows.
Gnolls, a race ranging from demonspawn to excitable hyenafolk. Gnolls are easily identified by their yipping laughter and voracious appetites.
Racial Attributes
Ability Score Increase: +2 Constitution
Age:gnolls reach physical maturity about the same age as humans and can live as long as 150yrs, but typically live around 80-90.
Alignment: gnolls come from nomadic societies that idealize chaotic demons and deities. They lean towards chaotic alignments.
Size: gnolls range from five to eight feet tall, averaging around seven feet tall.
Speed: your base walking speed is 30ft.
Darkvision: your time at night on the savannah has accustomed you to dark areas. You can see dim light within 60ft of you as bright light, and darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Gnollish Instinct: you have proficiency in the Perception and Insight skills.
Bite: you are proficient with a bite attack as a natural weapon, dealing 1d6 piercing + your strength modifier.
Gnollish Diet: you have a different set of rules for your body when it comes to what you can eat. Raw meat does not have to be cooked, and you automatically overcome any save against rotted or difficult to digest food. Additionally, you have advantage against saves caused by poison, and are immune to the poison condition.
Languages: you speak, read, and write common and up to one other language.
Savannah Gnoll
You are a denizen of the savannah, one who likely worshipped the Celebrant. Savannah gnolls love festival and celebration and want all take part with them.
Ability Score Increase: your Charisma score increases by 1.
Festive Magic: you learn the cantrip Prestidigitation and the first level spell Faerie Fire. Charisma is your modifier for casting this spell, and once you’ve cast Faerie Fire you cannot cast it again until you’ve taken a short or long rest.
Aardwolf
The most nomadic of the gnolls, aardwolf gnolls know the land best and easily find the best (and safest) ways to travel.
Ability Score Increase: your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Savannah Nomads: Whenever you make a Survival, Perception, or Investigate check to forage into or related to the wilds, you may add your proficiency bonus to the roll. If you are already proficient, you may add that bonus again.
Fang of Yeenoghu
You are a demonspawn of the Abyss, with fur tinged white and claws stained black. You hunger for flesh at all hours of the day and are filled with unholy strength.
Ability Score Increase: your Strength score increases by 1
Rampage: if you would reduce an enemy to 0 hitpoints you may immediately move up to half of your movement and make a bite attack.
my inbox and twitter both informed me that not only does International Hyena Day exist, but that it’s today! I couldn’t let this important occasion go by without drawing something, and I finished this just in time with only an hour to spare. Happy special day to these four special creatures.

…And last but certainly not least Clippers the drummer! He’s an aardwolf, not exactly a hyena but very close friends with his hyena bandmates and one of the best drummers in the thrash scene. He and his friends created a thrash metal band called Rabies, he was really fun to design especially his clothes!

Just felt like coming up with some random lore for my fursonas, specifically an origin story for Raine’s winged donkey steed, Jade.
Raine first met Jade fallen and tangled up in a tree as Jade originally lived in the skies, but was rejected by her previous owners who were, in the nicest way possible, a bunch of classist cunts who were only interested in breeding top pedigree horse Pegasi that would make good mounts, unlike a gross uncivilized donkey
Fortunately Raine found and rescued her, and made Jade her other best friend next to her pet rat Corlette. She probably sings Rider’s Lullaby from Centaurworld when they go on rides
(also another reminder, Raine not having her eye patch in the bottom sketch isn’t my error. She has two functioning eyes and just cosplays as a pirate 24/7 to be edgy)
Happy Pride Month, my contribution this year is literally just a recolor of last year’s piece but with my fursona in her updated design because I’m too lazy to draw something new ♀️
Though I will say that Raine’s new colors fit the ace flag much better than her old blue and white that clashed horribly with it
*peeks around a corner* Hey!! My last year of school is taking all of my time away but I’m still alive!! :‘DD I’m working on some bigger projects which I won’t be able to share until next year, but at least I’ve got some cool stuff on the way!

Spotted Hyena: The classique hyena. Definitely what we all think of when we hear “hyena”. Very good round ears and a really big and cute nose. Also, very powerful jaws that make it a very good eater. Has a very beautiful laugh that deserves to be heard. The perfect doggo imitator. 15/10
Striped Hyena: Pointy ears that do a great job picking up sounds. Loves the night and enjoys hunting in the darkness and being home before sunrise. Loves to scream, and scream loudly. Owner of a set of two beautiful eyes. Also, a wonderful actor, able to fool other animals by playing dead. 13/10
Brown Hyena: Beautiful, beautiful hair! Most likely has a very good hair care routine. The rarest hyena there is, so it deserves to be cherished. Very strong jaws, capable of breaking bones shortly after birth. Very scary to even larger predators, but they have a heard of gold. FANTASTIC snoot. 14/10
Aardwolf: The SMALLEST of hyenas. Please be gentle! Really loves insects, especially termites. Has a long and sticky tongue used for eating termites, making it one of the world’s most profound bleppers. Has a cute fuzzy tail that should be considered one of the wonders of the world. Has tiny ears, tiny paws, and a tiny nose. Overall very dainty but also, very tough. 13/10
