I’m not interested in my blog becoming an endless back-and-forth of he-said-she-said, but for the sake of all the people asking me questions about the d*** vs heard trial, I’ll address some of the asks I’m getting in one single post. I also want to remind people that abuse is about power and control, and there’s just nothing that could ever convince me that a virtually unknown bisexual actress in her early 20s who was just starting out her career could ever hold power over one of the most famous men in hollywood. a man in his 50s with hundreds of millions of dollars (and the bodyguards that go along with that) and a known history of substance abuse as well as violent and predatory behavior.

I want you all to take a step back from all the flashy gotcha moments that have been orchestrated to distract everyone from what common sense tells us: it makes absolutely no sense that any woman would expect to be believed over a man this rich and famous (not just any celebrity but one of the most beloved and famous celebrities in the whole word), especially before MeToo (she has evidence dating back to 2012).

now onto some of those gotcha moments that are being misrepresented in social media:

yes, there was (minute 08:16:10). he didn’t debunk shit. he studied political science and has no actual qualifications in computer science or computer forensics. he didn’t make any actual claims about the photos, he was brought in merely to plant the idea in the jurors’ minds that the photos weren’t reliable. in other words, “I can’t prove these photos are fake, but I can’t say they’re not fake, either!” his experience pales in comparison to the witness brought in later by heard’s team (minute 01:46:00, a computer forensics investigator), but the damage was done. all d***’s team had to do was sow doubt in the jurors’ mind because they knew perfectly well most of the technical language would fly over their heads.

here’s heard’s testimony about that incident. according to her, it was 2 male cops who were being lesbophobic and misogynistic towards her and her partner (she implies there was no female cop involved at all). how convenient that TMZ would just happen to find the one proud lesbian cop who worked at that airport at that time and that she just happened to be the one that had tried to arrest heard! this one really just comes down to who you believe. what does tasya gain from coming out in defense of amber when d*** is the bigger (and richer and more powerful) celebrity vs how much would it take for a retired, unknown cop to make up some lies for TMZ? she went out of her way to reach out to d***’s team literally the night before testifying (minute 08:39:50), that doesn’t sound to me like someone who wants to avoid media exposure.

there’s a lot at stake here and many powerful men know they stand to benefit from vilifying amber heard and using her to intimidate victims from coming forward and to discredit the ones who do. we know there’s a literal smear campaign against her, it’s really not that much of a stretch to assume there’s people that have met her once or twice who think they stand to gain something from making up rumors about her (same thing with the TMZ guy who testified and the owner of the cabin who was brought in to testify last minute even though he followed pro-d*** accounts on twitter and had been watching the trial).

I’ll probably try to follow ERW’s case closer when the time comes, so I can’t answer your questions about this. what I will say is this: the allegations against m****n are way worse than the ones against d***, and he knows that if he wants to garner the same amount of sympathy d*** has received, he has to absolutely destroy ERW’s reputation. it’s DARVO all over again. if he’s being accused of human trafficking on top of being accused of abuse, he has to up his game and make ERW seem even worse than heard.

I said it once and I’ll say it again, if this case is to teach us anything, it’s that we simply cannot trust what men tell us about women, let alone women who’ve dared to speak up against very powerful men. proceed with skepticism always and you’ll find the truth.

It had nearly been 60 days.  But she’s not counting the days anymore.  She swears she isn’t.

But she is.  She does count the days.  The hours.  The minutes.  The seconds when life as she knew it ended and this endless existence started.

Villanelle is still dead.  She is alive.  Sort of.  It doesn’t feel much of a life.   

I had no idea my first post-season fix-it fic would be something I came up with for the anonymous KE submissions, but I wanted to dedicate it to my good friend @anevolutionarynecessity. She’s so amazing.

Yes, I took my fic out of anonymous status. Why you asking?

To the person who anonymously inquired about my masks, thank you! Unfortunately I have no plans to sell my current masks (they are all in storage many states away). Keep reading for more mask-related ramblings :)

For future work, I’m hoping to get back into mask-making in a whole new way. With my previous masks, I was more concerned with trying out different materials and the performative aspect rather than focusing on things like durability and craft. I am hoping to get back into mask-making in a much more thoughtful, craft-oriented way, maybe taking some classes in carving and woodworking first. Materials like celluclay and plaster were fun to use at the time, but I’m hoping to move toward a more polished and traditional look for my future masks.
