A while we posted Variable’s pin up Rose Tyler pictures on our page and at the time we decided we wanted to do a feature with her, the only problem for us (and her) was finding the time…
I am proud to present my biggest mini-Doctor Who art project ever: a poster featuring all the mini-Doctors and all the mini-Companions! And not just TV companions, but companions from books, audios and comics too. Phew.
I set myself a few ground rules: canon Doctors only (so no Shalka Doctor or Peter Cushing, sorry); not all recurring characters are companions (so no Jackie Tyler or Kate Stewart); and companions must have appeared more than once but not necessarily in the same medium (e.g. Sara Kingdom has been in Big Finish and Grace has been in a comic). But then I broke those rules on occasion (e.g. to include Cinder, the War Doctor’s only companion), so the end result is all a bit wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey fuzzy-brainy won’t-fit-in-the-box-neatly. Rather like Doctor Who itself, in fact.

Been a long time since I last did a digital painting. I started playing Skyrim again recently so I thought I’d make a portrait of Vilkas who I’ve been fangirling over.
“It came off you yesterday when you collapsed. After you ‘absorbed’ the dragon soul, or whatever it is you Dragonborns do.”
Illustration I did based on The Amulet, a fanfiction written by Taransay. I’m having one of those phases when I can’t stop fan girling over certain characters. This is probably my worse one yet since I can’t stop going over Taransay and other writers’ stories.
The Twin Brothers of Jorrvaskr Despite I always end marrying Vilkas, because his dark and grumpy personality fits more with my own nature, I must admit: I love the innocent and loving heart of Farkas.
