As for the thumb thing; just some more tips: Leather clothing is good because it’s rather slidey and it’s hard to grab you in the fight. Avoid having your hair loose, also loose accesories such as scarfs, large earrings etc. Also, either wear your pants’ bottoms inside the boots or at least fold them. It makes it more difficult to get grabbed. Basically, a traditional skinhead fashion is profi streat fight clothing.
I know it may seem like a good idea but try avoiding use of brass knuckles. It looks hardcore and badass in the movies, but the fash scum is a bunch of cowards who never fight fair and you’re likely to get overpowered. Favourite practice when brass knuckles is used is to put it on person’s hand and stomping on it, which literally crushes your finger bones. Similar thing goes for stuff like batons - if you don’t know how to use it well and don’t practice with it like every day, you’re more likely to hurt yourself than anyone else.
