Third in this ongoing series of Mucha Moonies ✨

I would really love to open up shop and just do Art Nouveau style character commissions, but I definitely don’t have the following for it lol. Maybe someday!

Carrie and The Cow Tongue

This piece remains my favourite personal commission I have ever done, commissioned by Heather Ross, the woman Carrie protected in this story. When she commissioned this piece, she wrote the statement below for everyone to know:

“Looking back through the hundreds of e-mails between Carrie and myself, I can’t help but think of the moments when we talked of nothing specific but laughed until we couldn’t breathe. There were a few moments when the topic was specific. Very specific actually. It was an embarrassing, scary and I didn’t know what to do about it kind of specific. When I needed someone to just hear me, there she was. Listening patiently at the other end of the call. I explained how this film producer picked me up for a meeting, and after getting in the car he sexually assaulted me. Me! The fat girl from Tucson, who felt repulsive enough that this sorta thing could never happen to. She was kind, soft spoken and was exactly what I needed.

A few weeks later Carrie sent me a message online that said, “I just saw *blank* at Sony studios. I knew he would probably be there, so I went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow.” Naturally I asked her what was inside and she said, “It was a cow tongue from Jerry’s Famous Deli in Westwood, with a note that read, “If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box!”

A simple gesture confirmed what we all know, this woman was indeed a badass.

There are a few hidden messages in this beautiful piece. I had the heart necklace blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama when I met him in San Francisco. My mom and I then gave it to Carrie at her 50th birthday party. As for the other things, I will keep those to myself. For me Carrie was that one person besides my Grandma who I could go to when I felt broken. She could magically put my pieces together and guard me from the world.”

May is Sexual Assault Prevention Month, and for this month I will be donating 10% of my print sales to SACHA (Sexual Assault Centre of Hamilton and Area)

Hello hi how are y’all I’m finally out of preventive quarantine for I tested negative, and yet I’m losing my mind working on this Valorant x Mucha thing soooo just wanted to make a quick W.I.P. update.

I don’t know if I’m more pleased of how it is turning out, or more frustrated about the amount of time and effort I’m putting on this while I should focus on exams.

Either way, still a LONG WAY TO GO. Will post the finished result at some time, of course still hypothesizing I’ll actually finish this one.

Which I’m not sure given the amount of details I have planned.

ANYWAYS. I really appreciate when a Sage resurrected me, even if I suck at the game.

Guys. Time has come. No one expected it (‘cause no one cares and that’s ok but I’m just one dramatic thing), neither I did BUT!

Working on something a bit different. Most likely not involving Sova. Yeah, I know, unbelievable.

Had this thought for a while, but free time hasn’t been an option until today. So… sneak peek to this thing I’d like to do (not calling it a project, that would be too much honestly). It really is just a relatively quick sketch, have to find a way to put those hairs and define quite a good amount of things. But still wanted to post it.

Eeeeeeh yep, after all, isn’t this a sketch dump?!

Valorant x Mucha

Started with Sage for the image I found just called for it, but already have an idea for Raze.

Quite curious to see if I can keep up with one idea without drifting 300 miles away…
