Concept for a Birds of Prey movie Cass that’s grown up and based on her martial arts former batgirl mantle. It was just for funsies. The film looks cool. I just wanted to see a Cassandra more like the comic book version.
Just watched Birds of Prey and it was gloriously gay. Excellent example for a movie making use of a “queer gaze”. Didn’t expect it to be that good, to be honest. But hell, next time someone breaks my heart I sure know what’s gonna be on for movie night.
Two male American kestrels (Falco sparverius), father (left) and juvenile son (right). The father was focused, watching the field for prey as the son intermittently begged and watched. Even though the juvenile is most likely there so he can take immediate advantage of his father’s catches, he’s learning a thing or two whether he knows it or not.
Rumor is that Jurnee’s Black Canary will also show up in the Batgirl (2022) film! I’m really hoping it’s true, but just in case, I’ll reserve excitement until I officially see her show up in set photos or a trailer!
But I did base this off a sneaky set photo someone took where a Black Canary poster is present in the movie! Fingers crossed!
