The IRS is holding $1800 of my money needed to pay rent to not get evicted. I’m trying to raise at least $1000 by April 30th. I’m also taking PayPal payments at [email protected] or cash app donations at $DStrugg23. Looking for folks looking for tarot readings and/or need transcription services. Don’t really know where else to turn so any help means a lot.

So I’ve paid down $2600/2800 balance. But my May rent takes this balance back to $1000. I know by June 1st they have the right to move into eviction proceedings and take it to court. Looking for any and all help possible. If I get evicted, I won’t be able to get a new apartment. No one rents to ppl with that on their record. And I can’t move back home for my mental health. I have no where else to go. I’m feel so overwhelmed and really need someone to get this to some white people with plenty of disposable income. I’m posting this to my community with hopes that it’ll get to those who actually OWE our community for all the work we do.

Untitled (Prince’s Room, 2019)

This photo is from my most recent project, In The Life. I’ve been working on it for the past year as a part of my final thesis at Parsons School of Design.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣ “In The Life” expands upon my exploration of my black queer identity and focuses on the exclusion of black queer life in photography. “In The Life” is queering black history by challenging the lack of visual representation accorded to queer identities. I am creating an archive of images that black queer people can look to for solace or inspiration. The photographs depict black queer people both in public and intimate settings performing everyday tasks. Extreme care is given to each photograph in order to elevate the mundanity and humanity of our collective lived experiences.
