Hello! I subbed the Revue Starlight movie back in December (the one that has color coded dialogue) - this is my first post because I was too much of a coward to make an account anywhere then.
To put it simply, I was not satisfied with my original work, which had mistakes from mishearing and also just misinterpreting things. It was rushed for various reasons, and I really regret not being more patient with it. I don’t think the mistranslations impact any plot points of the movie, it’s really more in the specifics, but I misrepresented some things I consider to be important, and for that I am truly very sorry.
After not touching it for 2 months and then working on it in all of my spare time for the past month, I finally!!!! finished the revised version and a widescreen version, since I had originally done it letterboxed. I think the widescreen version is actually more readable, so that’s one more thing to bonk my past self on the head for, but the letterboxed version has its merits too. They can be found on nyaa and anidex like before, and to make sure this appears in the tag, I’ll add links in a reblog!
Now I’m going to ramble a lot about the fixes I made and translation decisions and other things under the cut… it’s going to read like half a callout for myself and half a defense, and half just fun rambling about translation (yes that’s 3 halves) so do with that what you will…!

But your work is so amazing, I straight up thought that your oil painting was attempting to replicate something like Girl with the Pearl Earring esque portrait. Like I saw this and Immeadiately thought damn I want to buy this, before I learned it was a glorious piece of fannart haha~ Do you have a list of commission prices? I am literally in love with this oil painting and would pay good money for your art shit.
Ah yes! I’m glad you mention it. I’m indeed inspired by Girl with the Pearl Earring!!! I currently don’t have an official list and working based on a given budget instead, but I’ll consider about the oil painting one later, because I’m still very new about this material.

I can always count on this blog’s positive portrayal of Sebastian Vael. Seeing your posts about him just makes me so genuinely happy; your headcanons especially. The wonderful ones, where Sebastian has friends among the group and does good by them, makes me proud to have loved him. To be entranced by him. To pity him when things go wrong. I can just see him being in such a way or growing up in that parental environment. It all make sense! Such horrible circumstances makes me want to write a character for him to take him away and hold him tight underneath layers of blankets. To treat him gently–the way he rightfully deserves.
Your posts, headcanons awaken so man different plot points for my own fanfic. While I have already decided who my OC ends up with, it does not stop me from thinking of an alternate universe for her to be with Sebastian. (I’ve barely started the damned thing and I’m already thinking about AUs. Andraste preserve me, Maker guide me. Give me strength.)
